Photos: Drunk policeman seen at Cele bus-stop, Surulere

A LIB reader sent in the photos and wrote;
"It's so painful and disappointing to see this show of shame on my way to the office this morning at Odo-Eran, Cele bus stop. Linda, imagine a Nigerian Police officer who is supposed to be serving and protecting lives to be in this condition as early as 8:30 am. ‎He was so drunk that he couldn't even stand or walk without being supported. A LIB reader reporting from Surulere.

There are work ethics please! No matter what his problem is he is a disgrace to the police force and Nigeria as a whole. Rubbish!

  23. This is so sad for him and for the society who should be protected by the uniform. There are many who are burdened by many personal struggles. One way of easing the pain is drink, another is suicide as we saw with the poor soul who killed himself on the bridge and yet another is violence. The police service should be properly equipped to manage the mental health of service men and women. I hope the man's condition will first be investigated before he is condemned by the authorities. May the good Lord take control. Amen

    2. Being in the police force is a very honorable position and a position of power and authority. They wear a uniform and represent your country also they take an oath, why shouldn't he be disgraced? This guy is supposed to protect me and you. Do you know how much of a threat and a risk a drink policeman is? When you hear stories of them shooting carelessly, beating and raping innocent citizens, you are the first to cry out. How else can such rubbish be curbed if they are not identified and flushed out. With power comes responsibility and I believe that he should be shamed and removed. So pls take a seat with ur human sympathy and bullshit. If you don't want to live in a safe environment I do.

GEJ now tackling BH, Reaching out to Chibok girls' families, Press conferences, EFCC now waking up, Power plants now visited, now meeting Youths, etc. IF BUHARI CAN DO THIS TO A NIGERIAN LET'S VOTE HIM IN SO THAT HE CAN GET THE BEST OUT OF OTHER NIGERIAN LEADERS AND NIGERIAN MEN AND WOMEN.

  157. First of all, where the guyman gun. If e go lose job, make e lose. Why? Because it is better to remove food from this man's mouth than have him kill one person as a result of 'eye nor clear'.

  158. COME, LET ME TELL Y'all supporting this man. There is no reason whatsoever for a worker to be drunk during working hours or while still donning the uniform. NOTHING CAN JUSTIFY IT. Even if one is insane, he would be given (some) time out. If a thief burgles a home, scares the residents, steals things and is somehow caught during the act or later, the fact that he has not eaten that day makes no difference. It's a hard world. The owner of the home may have problems that he thinks surpasses the thief's. If this man hold gun, shout ewelle, gun discharge, kill person family member, justification nor dey o. Na so.
