Musiliu Obanikoro's ministerial screening put on hold again

For the second time in a week, the Senate have refused to deliberate on the ministerial nomination of former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, who resigned last year to pursue his governorship ambition. He was nominated again by President Jonathan but APC senators have vowed to make sure he doesn't become minister again.

According to reports, the Senate cleared four ministerial nominees today but shifted debate on Obanikoro and two other nominees to next week.

  1. Aside APC vowing not to allow him bcom a minister, he still has the allegation of rigging hanging over him. Until he can prove his innocence, I support APC's stand on his issue. Linda take note!

  37. smh - is he the only LAGOSIAN qualified to be minister? even though he is being investigated for partaking in rigging election in Ekiti using the military.

UK Ministry of Defense says it has information about the missing Chibok girls but cannot share it with Nigeria because according to them, revealing details of what it found about the whereabouts of the abducted girls would clearly damage its relationship with Nigeria and other allies. saiBUHARI

  40. Yes i like what they are doing... he should go and rest cos all the PDP member has told us what the are capable of doing... he wants to to where? he has got no say if as a defense minister he could not fight boko haram but only to stop APC from doing their own things so what is he coming back to do?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Pls APC Senators do not clear him. This is a bad example of leadership and we must never encourage it for the good of this country.Even if the president encourages it we as apeople must refuse criminals to lead us

  42. Is it that Koro is trying to blackmail Jonathan? Is Koro the only person in lagos state that is eligible to be made a minister? The evil that men do will surely live after them. Koro can not hold any political office unless an investigation is carried out on the Ekitigate tape. Why are people so shameless. Jona wants to use you to rig Lagos, that's why they need you at defense ministry again. God will not allow you.
