'I remain the President of AGN' - Ibinabo Fiberisima

Ibinabo Fiberisima-Egbuka says she remains the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria despite a Lagos High court ruling on March 16th nullifying her October 2014 re-election. Ibinabo said she will be appealing the judgement and until her appeal is heard, she remains the President of the Guild.
"People have been calling me on the phone to say that Emeka Ike is the new president of the AGN. But this is not true. The court did not say that he is now president. It said there was a status quo that forbade us from holding elections. We are appealing that because we cannot wait four whole years for the court’s judgement on that issue. I remain president of the guild till my appeal is heard" she told Punch

  14. This is the problem with nigeria. Lawlessness! People going about flouting orders and believing they are above d law. Why go ahead with an election against a court order in d first place?

  17. Useless hoe.Shes one of the results of Jonathan's misrule. Was shocked she emerged president of the guild in the first place but then hunger no let many actors see road, they had to support her as per anywhere belle face, they know she's the least qualified for that position. A woman who is morally bankrupt, an ex convict, university drop out, home breaker, prostitute. Nothing good about her. Now, she wan die on top the presidency, DIE THERE YOU HEAR? IDIOT!

  30. Madam Ibinabo for you information (in case you don't know how to interprete the court's judgement), the election that made you the president has been nullified by a court of law. That means you are no more the president until you win your appeal or win another properly and legally conducted election. If you think you can still go around and present yourself as the AGN president "na kirikiri you dey play with".

  31. what are the perks that come with this office aside invitation to the Pres Villa once in 4 years

    ReplyDelete
  32. Well, the judiciary is fast becoming a big joke. It issues orders and rulings that aren't followed or enforced. This woman won't step down after the court kicked her out. Your recent story of a mom winning her custody battle case yet still having no access to her children shows the enforcement arm of the law is asleep at the wheel.
