Vogue L’Uomo Italia features iconic menswear brand Okunoren

Vogue L’Uomo Italia has just featured menswear great Okunoren on its November 2014 issue which has American female rap sensation Nicki Minaj on its cover.

The magazine is the Italian edition of Vogue international & is one of the most influential authorities in men’s fashion worldwide. This issue hit the newsstands across the world in October and has had amazing review.

In their music issue, Vogue L’Uomo Italia spotlights Okunoren which is one of the most recognized Nigerian fashion brands as Nigeria’s Lords of Bespoke and writes about their journey in fashion and bespoke tailoring. Some of the excerpts read:

Home to most billionaires in Africa, is experiencing a time of rapid expansion in the fashion industry. Recently Zegna opened its first store in Lagos, but for the upper middle class in Nigeria who wants to get dressed up by a local brand the obligatory stop is the brand Okunoren”

First to introduce in Nigeria the jacket with a single button, the brand is also known for the blazer style inspired by military uniforms of the early British settlers. A hallmark of the use of ropes, with which they have made not only the lights of the store, but also the sandals of the first prêt -à-porter.

It is delighting to see a Nigerian brand being recognized internationally.
