Madonna University student arrested for allegedly killing own father

A 27-year-old undergraduate of Madonna University, Okija, Anambra State, Chijioke Ezebuiro, was paraded yesterday July 22nd by the Abia State Police Command for allegedly killing his 87-year-old father, Dr. Emmanuel Ezebuiro. This sad event comes barely three weeks after 21 year old Tolani Ajayi killed his 60 year old father inside the Redeemed Christian Church of God campground.

While parading Chijioke before newsmen, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Geoffrey Ogbonna said Chijioke is the chief suspect in his father's death because he was the only one around when the deceased was brutally murdered on June 30th at his home in Umuoriehi, Isingwu in Umuahia North LGA of Abia state. According to his elder brother's statement to the police, Chijioke had often threatened to kill their father. The elder brother said he left their father and Chijioke at home to drop off his children at school only to return to find their father in the pool of his own blood. He immediately called the police after Chijioke could not explain what happened to their father. 
Police preliminary reports shows that there was no evidence of someone else gaining access into the home when the octogenarian was murdered.
During his interrogation, Chijioke claimed he was having his bath when his father was murdered.
"After taking my bath as I was going towards my room I saw people screaming in my father’s room, so I decided to go inside to know what was happening there. When I went there I saw my brother and my cousin in my father’s room and I saw my dad on top of his bed. I was shocked to see blood on his head. I was so scared I had to go down stairs to call one of my cousins. When I came back with him we were asking them what happened none of them told us anything. He told us to go down stairs the next thing was for me to see police coming to arrest me, took me to the police station, saying I am a murderer, that’s all.” he said.
He denied ever threatening his life, maintaining they had a good relationship.

      We are sipping champ all these evil people they must die one by one far away abroad we are rejoicing this man is my dad uncle my grandmother younger bro he made us suffer I will try disguise but soon u all will hear my story and my siblings made our father abandon us and our mum let me break dis down God said relax and see d end of the wicked and that week he died I cried cried prayed and asked God why wanted to call and wish him to rut in hell if he was dead and two days after I heard he is dead his son killed him, my people always keep ur hands clean all those involved in our pain for yrs my mum suffered with my dad we had a lovely family but envy jealousy won't let evil one my mum never did any wrong to my dad he made us leave Nigeria and we left for abroad and they creeped in demons but God has the medicine for demons watchout and see God can not lie sorry for my cousin who got involved mayb d sins of d fathers got to the third generation.No rest for the wicked we have suffered cried depressed confused but Men of God has prayed and are still praying the drama has just started when Jesus/God says Yes nobody can say no let him go and answer God and come and cause more problems too late learn everyone from this.Umuahia Queen.

    Innocent till proven guilty no be naija oh ..see as dem don sit d guy down for ground already. What if d elder brother came in earlier commited d murder and put it on d guy knowing he was in d bathroom and his relationship hasn't been so gud with their father. In fact d elder bro is more of a suspect cos he probably stands to gain more from the old man's death. And surely d younger guy cant afford a gud lawyer ..life!

    This is a very sensitive Case,it might be the elder Brother too we dont know,if it were to be in an Advance Country say in 4-8 Weeks they will know u killed their Father.I head in Ibo the senior Son inherits all most all the Propties,so may be the elder Brother did it to make it come to pass.

    Hmmmm, maybe he's been set up. Do they have anything to gain from their father's death? Also, they said only the 27yr old had access to where their father was when he was attacked and there is no evidence of someone else gaining access to the home during that period, yet the boy found his elder brother and cousin shouting in his father's room when he came out if the bathroom; did he open the door for them to get in? That means they had access in too, right? I'm not saying they did it but this chijioke guy should not be the only suspect considering the info provided so far. Anyone else with access or a key could have gone in to kill him and slipped back out again; or even gone in, committed the crime, go out & come back in with someone else so they can discover the body together to cover himself/herself up. It could all the same still be this chjioke guy but the evidence here is too flimsy, there are several other possibilities. I just hope an innocent man is not being punished while the criminal walks free. RIP to their father, condolence to his family and may all evildoers be exposed and punished....... Just Saying

    If anybody is guilty of dat crime, it should be the elder brother. Even if Chijioke actually threatened to kill his father, probably out of anger, it doesn't mean he can actually do it. Why is the elder brother accusing him? What convinced him dat Chijioke could actually kill their father? There re many loose ends in dis story.
