Popular night club, Quilox, to observe one-month Ramadan break

Nigeria’s first purpose built and luxury nightclub; Quilox, is set to proceed on a one-month break towards the end of June 2014.

The break will take place during the Holy month of Ramadan, as Quilox Boss and Owner; Shina Peller is a Muslim who observes the Holy month of fasting with strong religious principles. Continue

The club has a unique schedule in place that includes seasonal breaks occurring annually during the Holy Month, and other special events spread across the various seasons of its calendar.

Quilox is expected to re-open after the break in grand style, as is customary for this elegant and exclusive nightclub.

The Luxury Night Club is located on 873 Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island and opened its doors on the 20th of December 2013. The nightclub, which is popularly known for its Las Vegas-style theme, has held many successful events and parties and has set and maintained a very high standard in the Lagos nightlife.

    3. Its not about religion but principle I guess. There are a lot of muslims and christians that drink. And I agree it makes sense to stay away during fasting period. The guy has principle and got balls to take the decision. The rich always want to get richer. I respect Mr. Quilox

  37. Waow! I respect this man's decision. Those people insulting you do not understand. There is no way anyone can be free of sins, whether Muslims or xtians. That's why God gave us Ramadan to be ESPECIALLY devoted to him and enjoy special favours of having our sins cleansed once a year as Muslims. Not that Allah isn't merciful all year through, but Ramadan is a big bonus month of grace for Muslims. May Allah forgive your sins and mine and all Muslims'. Allahumo Ameen

If you wanna be saka be saka, and if you wanna be soko be soko. Don't try to be saka-soko at the same time. In otherwords, if you wanna run a business you do so and if you wanna do religion you do so. What about your patronizers who are non-muslims? Would you deny them the relaxation they've become accustomed to cos you wanna observe Ramadan? Business does not know religion, sir.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Good of him,na muslims get all the crazy people excluding boko haram.

  47. This is so typical of Nigerians! You guys will see 1+1 and your answer will be 10! Firstly I don't remember Mr Peller telling anybody he is shutting he's club because of Ramadan! If you read as effectively as you spill rubbish you will see the point where it says Club Quilox operates on a two season calender year, with a break in between. Whether it was Ramadan or not, the club will still close for a break. I applaud the owner and management team for making such a sound decision and I'm 100% sure when it opens we'll see bigger and better changes.

  48. To those of you leaving bad comments here. Its so obvious that you hating. When has alcohol become the only sin on this earth? Abi una be saint that doesn't sin anyway? I read deeply and see that Quilox operate two seasons in a year with a montth break. It makes more sense to a muslim owner to take the break during ramadan. I am a muslim and I drink ocassionall which doesn't affect my prayers and relationship with God and I stay away during the holy month. Mr. Quilox has taken a wise decison that is understandable to any sensible business person that is God fearing.
