Someone in the know said the residents haven't been paid September 2013 salary. The house officers who worked for 3 months received payment for only two months with so many deductions. They say this is not fair considering the health hazards they are exposed to on a daily basis and the fact that they are always away from their families on call only to have their salaries cut in half. See more pics from the protest after the cut...

DeleteWhat kind of country is this that things seem not to work? I don't know why Doctors would not been paid their salaries. These are the kind of cases EFCC should be investigating.
ReplyDeleteThis country is just a huge joke. We take little things for granted and before we know it - they become unresolved issues that we now have to live with.
I so support dis. It is remaining Abia poly and ABSUTH.

ReplyDeletePure wickedness. Pay the doctors. Useless government. Which part of the world do you hear doctors not getting paid? Madness in Nigeria
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine that? if there is any profession that should be paid well, it should be Doctors. Shame on Nigeria.so disappointed.
ReplyDeleteThey are fond of that. I don't know why someone (CMD) will study medicine and want to be wealthy at the same time by chopping people's salaries. There is politics, Engineering, banking and the likes. These greedy doctors in charge are spoiling the good name of medicine. Why will u not pay workers when FG has already sent the money?. There is God oo.
ReplyDeletebuahahahaha did i just see, #bringbackourmoney? odiegwu really! issokai
ReplyDeleteThat's wat house officers and interns are facing these days, deduction of money from salaries. Its easy for ppl to complain abt corruption by politicians, but wat of those in their various offices? Its just unfair!

ReplyDeleteIs this not a shame for those in admin to be cutting the pay of their younger ones who spent years in school and their time saving lives? This is just too bad I don't know why we doctors are taken for granted in this part of the world.
ReplyDeleteAnd I plan to do M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣̥ internship dere huh, dats discouraging!
ReplyDeleteOnly in Nigeria do you find where doctors and under paid! Isn't the health sector supposed to be the focal point of every government?

ReplyDeleteThe woman who's the MD of the hospital is insensitive of patients' condition and derives joy when patients die in that hospital. This is an act of witchery when you are busy packing FG money. This country needs a total evolution
ReplyDeletePay them biko!which kin work be this wey monkey go dey work baboon go dey chop
ReplyDeleteThis is the height of irresponsibility.
ReplyDeleteThis is why nurses now want to be CMDs.
This CMD that is with-holding peoples salaries, what does she intend to do with it?
Thats how hired assassins killed her daughter some yrs ago in an attempt to kill her for stealing peoples salaries, one would feel that by now she would have repented of such acts!
Its Federal Medicai Center, not Imo state teachin hospital.
ReplyDeleteFools n illitrate anonyms.

ReplyDeletethis is the reason why there is a brain drain!
ReplyDeleteNigeria is a pot of burnt beans
ReplyDeleteC'mon doctors Facebook is not sufficient to expose the excesses and insensitives of the so called Dr Angela Uwakwem the FMC CMD who happens to have squandered your salaries in pursuit of another term to continue to rule FMC.
ReplyDeleteYou guys should petition to EFCC and the FG ministry of health to lay your complaints that is if these means have not been explored. Use all other media options sahara reports etc to expose this evil woman. Sadly when 2 elephants are fighting the grass suffers every sensible person knows that you guys are the work force of any health facility. Without you guys the patients suffer. Gudluck.
FMC is an Fg responsibility not Imo state govt. Allocation has already been given to this greedy insensitive woman Dr Angela Uwakwe who unfunfortunately has held the hospital at ramsom like Boko Haram has held Nigeria for some time now. She used ur money /salaries to bribe politicians like Iwuanyanwu, Pius Anyiam and others. The keep blind eyes to the needs and problems of the staff and patients of that hospital. Shame
ReplyDeleteLet the sept salary be paid, then let the skipping letters be released stating from which time exactly it's due ,then pay house officers dough, then all other things shall be seen as madam wants it...cos this is really working against herr physical and well planned restructuring of the fmc!
ReplyDeleteAbeg oooo dey shld pay my collegues their complete salary!wats all dt?!
ReplyDeleteu guys should not pity these useless doctors and nurses in FMC Owerri, they dont know what they are doing there, they dont deserve to be paid at all, how i wish they can owe them for next 10 years thats what they deserve...
ReplyDeleteSulli o!!!
