Photos: Power Bike accident during CPC road show with Charly Boy

During the Consumer Protection Council (CPC) Bike Road show which was held today March 14th and led by Nigerian Consumer Ambassador, Charly Boy, a horrible bike accident occurred claiming the life of one person.

Charly Boy and other bikers were on the move during the road show when a horrible accident involving two of the bikers occurred around the Federal Secretariat, Abuja.

The guy being carried in the pic above was later pronounced dead in the hospital, while the other guy has been hospitalized but responding to treatment at the Maitama General Hospital.

A really sad CharlyBoy sent out his heart felt condolence to the family of the deceased biker, the one currently hospitalized and also to CPC. “I wish I could reverse the day” he said. Continue to see more photos from the accident. RIP to the man. Too sad!

The guy who died. His name was Sani

The other biker pictured above survived the accident

Late Sani. May his soul rest in peace...amen.

  50. Its a pity .RIP Sani. But I must add that the people carrying him might have contributed to his death .When an accident of this nature happens patient should be not be move like that or in case of he has a head trauma. If the area is safe he should not even be moved at all until the ambulance /paramedics arrive .Then they can gently (while holding his restraining his head and neck)move him to the hospital. Oh sorry I forgot that this happened in Nigeria where there no emergency services. GOD have mercy .

RIP Sani. But it is disheartening that while we open our mouths to condemn government convoys for their recklessness on the roads, some of us make a petty of this concern by being involved in it. A road show that has turned to an avenues for reckless driving and sadly to a loss is defeating its essence. And to know that Charly boy and other CpC heads were at the forefront of this is pathetic. My condolences to the bereaved but for once let's learn from such things.

So sorry for the poor guy, but i even feel more sorry for the next person. Until we focus on the cheapest basic things like EMS, we can prevent avoidable deaths, but we rather buy/build junks in Lekki and VI with Chinese trash claiming we spent 40billion. Who are you kidding, oh other Nigerian fools. Invest i your life and lets stop killing ourselves.

  146. I am a biker and I hate it when I hear of another biker down due to miscalculation when riding or pulling stunts , there is absolutely nothing wrong or dangerous in riding a bike , it's just how you go about it , cars are dangerous too , remember Paul Walker ? I always tell my fellow riders to use gear @ all times and wear a helmet & also do the speed limit , only speed on the high way but too sad there are no speed limits in Nigeria , that's why I only ride here in the us cause Nigerian roads are like death traps . RIP sani ! The sky is yours now , keep riding

  147. My dear Sani. I remember when u started riding. I remember our rides to nasarawa, ibadan, uyo and kano. I remember our numerous rides to kaduna, keffi and within Abuja. I remember when we started learning wheelie. I learnt before u but in no time u became my master. I remember how u calmed me down when I was angry with Homms on our way to uyo. U also calmed me down when I wanted the clamp the guy that clamped my car. I remember how humble and reliable u were. I remember how I used to tease u about how skinny u were and how we needed to tie u down on ur bike in order not to get blown off by the wind. I remember the lunch we had on Tuesday. I remember riding with u this past sunday. I remember seeing u on Thursday n calling u sani-danja like I always do. I remember ur endeavours, honesty, devotion to Allah and how dear ur family were to you. I pray that Allah forgive ur sins and grant u paradise. I pray I also make paradise so that I can get to see u again hopefully u will be fatter then. I pray we all make paradise so that we can ride together again and be the brothers that we were. I miss u so much. Allah knows best. I can't hold back the tears. May Allah forgive me and us all. I never for once thought that u will die in front of me and I will have to bury u. Allah ya jikan ka.

  151. Y'all are just hypocrites. U will never know what it is to ride or own a bike u hate it because u don't understand it cars kill more people every year but it doesn't stop anyone from buying it. If u don't know anything shut your trap n don't throw words into matters u don't understand. Why people do what they do isn't your business if he was knocked down by a car or he was driving n list control no one will say they hate cars if he died in a plane crash what will y'all say? But u r hating on the fact a few good men were able to push pass their fears n live the bike life solve the driving problem in the country because drivers kill more bikers n most of them drive off I'm a victim to such an act.
