The convoy of Nigeria's Senate President, David Mark, was attacked yesterday by unknown gunmen who specifically targeted the vehicle in which Senator Mark was to enter, Channels TV reports.

David Mark was on his way to the burial ceremony of late business mogul, John Richard Anyaehie in Nkwerre Community in Imo State when the attack happened.

Report say no life was lost in the attack.

    1. Gold Casket...? I'm not surprised. The late Chief J.R. Anyaehie must have bought the casket himself. He saw death coming and prepared himself. He built a Anglican Church Cathedral in Nkwerre. I even heard he was even sharing money in tens and hundreds of thousands in Nkwerre before his death. He was easily the most influencial man in Nkwerre. That burial must be the "talk of the town" for many years to come.

  29. It was just yesterday that I mounted my prophetic podium and reeled out that when life is worthless, fear is banished. This is just the beginning, soon, the street will be the office of the Mob ministry of justice and the code will be"You have been weighed, measured and you have been found absolutely guilty of insulting our conscience, our right for improved living standard and an assult on our integrity, balkanising our image,mis-management of our hope and raping our aspiration."Its regrettable that such is the situation on ground now but its in line with revolution,But most regrettable is that this attempt failed. My hope lies that when a snake recoils,it goes for a strike.Let he who has an ear, hear the voice of wisdom and apply reasonning.

Up until now we havent heard an apology or even statement of condolence from this greedy, HIV infected overstayed senate president. He has to go. Bastard! Yes, he does have HIV, and has been managing it for a few years now.

  72. How ironic. The senate president and his co-horts are the same people who like to wall themselves up in Abuja and pretend that they are immune to the dysfunction that is Nigeria. And here he is, attacked by unknown gunmen. Sooner or later the criminals and kidnappers will get to him and his kind, after all, how else will these people regain some dignity in their lives when the thieves in power have stolen everything. Again, Nigerians, it is time we protested for a better Nigeria. Nothing will change until we change it.
