Relations Officer, Abayomi Shogunle, took to Twitter to caution men and women...

The bottom line is girls should be careful of where and when they visit certain places. No one can be raped in the open/public. I don't think this rape issue is as simple as everyone is painting it to be and as so cannot be taken lightly as out daft policeman twits about it. First, we must realize that this is a psychological issue because a sane person, who understands his prospects would never try to jeopardize his freedom or future by raping. We all know the consequences that follows rape and yet it still happens. I want to believe that until our government starts taking psychology and mental wellness issues seriously there would always be a case of rape. A person in his or her right senses would never try such. Rape if you ask me is similar to armed robbery and unless that person is possessed by some unknown factors, he or she would never indulged in such an act.
Also, I think our girls/ladies/women should be educated on being cautious of their movements and whom they hangout, visit or go on a date with. I'm speaking from experiences, not necessarily mine, but experiences gained from certain conversations I've had with friends about how confidently a female would accompany or agree to meet or visit a total stranger at his place of choosing just because she feels he's good looking, rich and so on without even considering the potential danger she might be facing since the person in question she's meet is a total stranger she doesn't know from Adam.
So instead of posting stupid and misguided twits, I expect the police to work in hand with any group or orgs out there to educate people based on true life factors and sensible ways to avoid such acts. Believe it or not there are well dressed but mentally insane individuals out there.

The only thing they think abt is sex n this is as a result of the type of society we find ourselves in where there re no morals or Values or even the fear of God, its really disgusting to read guys comment on dis issue seeing Rape as Ok. ITs not OK, no matter wat. ITs dehumanizing and what if that girl/ lady was ur child, sister or even mother? With the mindset that the young men of this generation have that Rape is ok.
