On December 18th 2013, BBA winner and actress Karen Igho announced that she had cancer. She left Nigeria shortly afterwards to the UK for treatment. She took to twitter this afternoon to announce that she's cancer free. We thank God.

I am really happy 4her!My dad has been in d hospital close to 3months battling cancer for 4years now.its not been easy but I trust in God!lucky you gurl.
I doubt she had cancer. Two months is too short to go through all the treatment. If she had surgery to remove any lumps, she would have also needed chemotherapy or radiation. She would have lost some, if not all of her hair! I know several people who have undergone chemo, and it's like poison in the body, it makes one very very dark in complexion. It drains and takes a lot out of them. It's a whole lot to get through, so to come out after just 2months looking as fab and healthy as she does, then it couldn't have been cancer at all. Most probably just a cancer scare!
My thots exactly!!! I wanted to comment on this yesterday but decided not to bother. Cancer is not a two month treatment. And what kind of treatment did she undergo that her hair still remained intact? No loose of weight and all that goes with cancer treatment.

For karen to have chemo they would have to remove her implants before the treatment. That means she would have needed time to heal before commencing the treatment, then the chemo and then a surgery to put the implants back... 2 months just don't make any sense. She may have had a cyst or a benign tumor but this lady surely had no cancer.
That she is cancer free does not mean she is cured. It simply means that every "detectable" trace of cancer has been removed. She is probably in remission. The longer that you can go without cancer rearing back it's ugly head, the morelikely it is that you have been cured. Usually most people do not announce they have been cured until after 5 years with no additional incidents of cancer. She is in a "wait and see" situation.
Oge Azuka, kareen has been cured in jesus name. please pray for her and stop ranting ur okoro mouth there. when are we going to stop being negative to others. cant we be positive for just one. we should all learn how to to magnify and be positive to others than to criticize and be negative to other. that will help in adding more years to someone's life. are u above to be in that her condition? well i pray to god for help for people that am better of because i wouldn't like to be in their situation.

Now I'm convinced she was doing it for publicity - do you know how many amounts of chemo and surgery people need to do because of the Cancer- its not a walk in the park, sometimes it tends to relapse Karen take several seats keep your health announcements to yourself! In BB she said she got breast implants because she had lumps but got them removed hence pumping up (her breasts) now she's back with more bullshit-

ReplyDeleteI doubt she had cancer. Two months is too short to go through all the treatment. If she had surgery to remove any lumps, she would have also needed chemotherapy or radiation. She would have lost some, if not all of her hair! I know several people who have undergone chemo, and it's like poison in the body, it makes one very very dark in complexion. It drains and takes a lot out of them. It's a whole lot to get through, so to come out after just 2months looking as fab and healthy as she does, then it couldn't have been cancer at all. Most probably just a cancer scare!

For karen to have chemo they would have to remove her implants before the treatment. That means she would have needed time to heal before commencing the treatment, then the chemo and then a surgery to put the implants back... 2 months just don't make any sense. She may have had a cyst or a benign tumor but this lady surely had no cancer.

ReplyDeleteThat she is cancer free does not mean she is cured. It simply means that every "detectable" trace of cancer has been removed. She is probably in remission. The longer that you can go without cancer rearing back it's ugly head, the morelikely it is that you have been cured. Usually most people do not announce they have been cured until after 5 years with no additional incidents of cancer. She is in a "wait and see" situation.
