    4. I hate saying this over & again, but....
For the love of Christ I will say it once again!

I am not here to claim I'm holier but same sex affair/marriage is & will never be a norm. How is it normal that a man sits and be fantasizing about another man's ass, not to talk of hitting on a fellow man...may be hoping 2 have sex or fall in love with a fellow man? Its so abnormal. The only way to stop people from seeing something as normal when its not is by condemning it & putting a penalty to it to scare people from doing it. If GEJ didn't do this & follow the path of Obama & his cohorts countries....may be one day men will be allowed to f*ck animals, or even take animals as spouses..& that be seen as normal. I love what GEJ did. & I wonder why our so called celebrities are becoming active in fighting for this gay rights. Are they just trying to be noticed? I won't be surprised if there's more to lending their voices to the plight of the threatened nigerian gay community....but please let's call evil what it is. Man is created to f*ck woman & not man on man, woman on woman or man on animals. Satan is using this to rob us the 'humaness' in us. My dad didn't marry a man & I came from the union between a sane morally-sound man & a woman. So I support GEJ. Say no to Gay! Gay is wrong! Gay is abnormal! Gay is inhuman!

& more over Nigeria has too many problems now not to talk of adding this one to the list!
      Kudos GEJ on this one!
      No time!!!!

    11. Lol at Ruggedman. You obviously don't understand governance especially in Africa. Nigga, the culture must be protected, our morals and values MUST be kept intact for our children. If all our men are gay, who will protect the borders of our country. If we can't produce children because a man is too busy searching for treasures in another man's anus or a woman is engrossed in jamming her clitoris on another womans's own, how the he'll will children be raised to become Pop stars, Presidents, lawmakers, policemen and social media inventors...Oh your reply would be, we will always have straight people...Double Standards. so we should have kids for you to continue your madness? We will save Nigeria, One law at a time, it may not be the Law you want to hear...but as long as we are in a democratic society, Majority carries the vote.

    12. So because all of you are homophobic, you want other people to be too! It is for Christ to judge, there are gay people holier than though, you wanna tell me they will go to hell? Who made you God?!!

      Delete
    13. Homophobic? Why not try the word Heavenphobic/Godphobic? If they are holy and an iota of unrighteousness that man condemns is in such a person, will God be appeased with such? I guess we are just in an age where everyone wants to do his own thing his own way (Psalm 14 and 54). As for the celebrities supporting gay rights, i guess its all for fanbase! As fo my Dear Linda, shebi you are not gay jare?

  18. These so called celebrities most especially the washed up ones should give it a rest for goodness sakes!!

What makes these western countries think they can dictate what they wish to Africans? Why aren't they asking the Arab gulf countries with their draconian laws and total absence of freedom speech to establish democracy and grant freedom and equality to their citizens? Why is it Africans they think they can dictate to and cherry pick what they consider faults in our system?

As much as I do not care whom or what a man decides to have sex with, I do not condone them doing so in public or forcing the rest of us straight people to accept their queer and totally un-African ways....

And yes we may have a tonne of other disgusting problems and social ills but that doesn't mean we shouldn't tackle this gay issue viogorously either. I hate it when gay rights supporters easily cite all the other mess in Nigeria as a sign that we have not got our priorities sorted out!!

Punishing two consenting adults who decide to be stupid together & then leaving a pedophile Nigerian Senator & others like him to keep molesting babies & kids in d Name of marriage is d height of stupidity, shame & hypocrisy. I respect the fact that different countries have their different laws & I can respect d laws of my country stating that same-sex marriage is against the law,but I can't help but state how dumb & stupid our law makers are to not punish a fucking senator & others like him who are practicing pedophilia. Which is worse? A child who doesn't know anything about sex yet being molested or two crazy adults choosing willfully to marry each other? I'm not putting one down to lift the other, but if This bill or law must stand, we Nigerians must also fight for our children & press for pedophiles to be punished.

Let all man practice wat's sexuality he wishes. Are we God to judge them??? We can only evangelise them. He who's without sin should cast d 1st stone..... If being gay is a taboo, pre marital sex and xo many overlooked vices are!!!

  84. Homo is wrong and satanic but the issue is, its not the governments work to show or force people to become Godly, its a personal decision, cos being gay doesn't obstruct the country from having steady power supply it only obstructs a person from making heaven, is it the governments position in the ppls lives to show them how to make heaven? or to create a functional habitat for living, I support that Nigeria has better things to deal with than to force a person to change his ideology #Note ; I HATE GAYISM.

  85. Our government are stupid! When we've got: dirty old men getting married to under age girls, people dying in auto accidents on daily bases due to bad roads, little kids hawking in hold-up as a result of poverty, non existent electrical supply and minimum wage yet to be implemented, all of which the government have got nothing to say about. Why pass bills concerning what two consenting adults choose to do with themselves in the privacy of their bedroom?
By the way, how much were they paid to seat for that bill? Cos as far as I'm concerned, that money would have been better spent dashing people on the street cos apparently, our national assembly are seriously lacking in imagination and common sense.
Are they really that unaware about what really plights us in this country? What a bunch of hypocritical bigots!

Thank God Jesus showed love to the prostitute who the "righteous" Jews wanted to stone. Show love and they will turn to Christ. Has GEJ been 100% morally right if not pass a bill to send us all to jail.

He must understand that while we are dealing with the so called important issues, the anti-gay law is equally important. You do not put off doing other things simply because you are yet to handle the very important issues.
People do need education to understand what is called simultaneous actions.

  94. Talk, ojare. This law is a terrible distraction from a nation's problems. Being gay is not a problem. It is a blessing to a nation with population problems. It counters the problem without using contraception or abortion or vasectomy or any other measures used to keep a population down. What most don't realize is that the vast majority of the greatest minds on planet earth have shown a gay orientation, from Leonardo da Vinci to Alan Turing who set the system for the modern computer. Nigeria will destroy its finest brains because we want to please the rabble. It is a foolish, futile, cruel, barbaric law. Linda, thank you for always keeping this topic alive.

  104. As usual it is the media and the entertainment world that will take it on their head..

How many entertainers have refused to perform for our corrupt leaders?
They only know how to use popular western views to boost their cred and look intelligent. Unfortunately, all gay rights movement in Nigeria are so far down in the minority list it will take decades for this law to even be revisited

Both sides to this gay vs anti-gay talk make sense, especially from a jurisprudence and social contract point of view

You cannot sell what isn't welcome to us. No matter how much you cry wolf on gay rights, Nigerians are wont no to support it..

Why?? Because a large majority are homophobic and have ideas that are anti-gay..

Go to a country that is anti-gay if you are not happy about it

  107. Reading The comment Above anyone can really make inference about Nigerias. On the issue of Gay Right i think everyone of the opinion that Nigeria has other important issues to deal with is right but is also a coward. We must learn to take a stand on any issues that concernes us no matter how little. I would also want to admonish that we learn to put things in perspective before we arrive at where stand. All the wars and crisis in the world ever emanates from people"s inability to see things from other's point of view as well as theirs. We need to as a nation firstly define what Human Rights are and brings into our conciousness that the State on Nation is above the doctrine of a particularly religion or tradition. We cant legislate on individual decisions that those no harm to other citizens or the state as a whole.Personally homosexuallism make no sense to me but same as other preferences alot of people around me have, but i should i force my preference on other people. We understand human behaviour well enough coupled with being a student of history we will understand that that criminalising homosexually will not reduce it rather we have just increased the trend by bringing to more people"s conciousness thus increasing the no of people who will give it a try. By stand is,just as we cant legislate of what religion people chose we also cant legislate on the activities of 2 consenting adult that has no adverse effect on the safty of other individual or affect the GDP of our country. As for the agruement of it been against God will, none of Us Know's God will because we are not God and that same God created Gay people.we need to expand our reasoning. If you have meet a gay person u would realise that this is who they are and they are no different from you.

  108. Nigerians are In fact the most distinguish and spiritually pure people on planet earth. Our country is indeed heaven. In fact Jesus lives next door to Jonathan. We don't need Visa to enter any country people welcome us with open hands at the borders. There is always a separate queue for Nigerians at international airports. Every other country wants to be us infact you can see the envy in their eyes when they see us in our special queue reserved for morally, culturally, upright people. Nigeria is indeed paradise and now with this new law Nigerians have become the First Nation on earth to acquire direct assess to heaven . Wow what a wonderful government we have thank you good luck Jonathan and all your wise men for enacting this golden law. You have truly made us a glorious , super fabulous nation of clean, holy and righous citizens. In 20 more years the small problem of hunger, electricity, transport, healthcare, and all those stupid minor things will come to the attention of the wise merry men in the senate.

Rugged man should tell us straight if he is gay, poverty and lack of infrastructures and money laundering did not come to Nigeria during Jonathan's era,if the above mentioned problems were tackled from the onset the way we're fighting against the gay right today we wont be talking about corruption today. i support the anti gay law and even suggest that persons who speak or tweet in support of gayism should be arrested and jailed, just for the gay sin a whole nation SODOM and GOMORAH was destroyed and not because of bad Governance.Nigeria has too many problems to deal with and we dont want an additional one.pls u fame seeking ,westernized Nigerians should allow this matter rest

I ting we hav 4goten wat each senate hearing cost..... dis is not how or wat we want our money to be spent on...hav we considered the effect on other aspect of our civilization nd development? by the passing of this bill Nigeria just took 10 steps incounting back from the world. Do u kno the effect on HIV awareness programs... dis was not a rational decision dat shouldn't even be a topic @ 1st

How will any of u feel if ur relation were killed bcuz he was gay. I'll be watching and eating my popcorn as more problems will emerge from this. U have no light, spend so much money trying to be a better person, while ur govt tackles productive persons that actually cntribute to society...WORK WISE. be SMART in ur thoughts. Let sentiment not guide ur rationale

    ReplyDelete
  118. have u ever asked urselves a simple question. HAS ANY GAY GUY EVER STOPPED THE PRODUCTIVITY OF THIS COUNTRY. u all condemn people who think rationally and focus on congratulating a president who has misplaced priorities. jailing is stupid. why even punish them?
