Photos: Union Bank building in Abuja gutted by fire

Union Bank building in U.T.C Area 10 in Abuja was gutted by fire this evening, The last floor of the 3-storey building was completely razed and the popular Abuja furniture store, Hadar Situare was also affected in the fire. Millions of Naira worth of furniture was destroyed.

The fire was eventually put out by the combined team work of the Airforce fire fighters & the Federal Fire Fighters. It took seventeen trucks of water to put the fire out. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained. See more photos after the cut...

  3. It was the Furniture shop at the last floor that was greatly affected,the owner collapsed at the sight of his lost properties.

    Thank God no live was lost. The fct fire service really tried u need to see their joint efforts.

    I actually snapped with my phone saying I will send d pictures to u but u already have them .

    3. Lol, see who dey correct person. It's area 10 joor, that's where they have UTC. And hey, I work on that building, its not the furniture show room that got burnt. Just the top floor with a couple of different offices, the furniture showroom is the next floor.

Stupid bank that just swallowed my money without battling an eye,I was just managing the little money I had and begging even in tears for this people to refund my money that their bank debited through a faulty ATM transaction. They played me for a year plus despite all the form filling and come today come today. I swear God's wrath will surely visit them, useless bank. Mitscheeew!

  80. I want to use this medium to state here dat Hadare and Situare d furniture shop in d building wasn't affected by d fire. All d furniture r intact. D owner can't stop thanking God. But d last floor was totally razed down, not even a pin was saved.
