  18. The only reason why that " baby mi Da" is listed here is simply cz tuface is involved! He is like Nigeria's swthrt, nothing he does is wrong! There's nothing fascinating abt the song and ivn if it is to some ppl, it's just completely outta place on that list. "Gaga Crazy" for best video of the yeah? You gotta be kidding me! The song wz a hit but definitely not the video! Where the hell is bez' new song in all of these lists huh! Smh! Tiwa nko! Well I'm glad peeps like phyno and capital femi made it into the list...femi's " don't let Go" is one of naija's best shots at pure RnB.

  53. Guys complaining abt some artistes songs not being there, there was a timeline for nominations, a year under review, from like march 2012 to april 2013 and so some of the artistes you're talking abt released dia songs after dat time frame. Meanwhile congrats to all the nominees, shout out to sheyi shay, niyola, and for me especially nikki laoye, the only gospel artiste in the whole list. Her music is really international, when I heard only you for d first time I tot it was an american song until she started singing in yoruba and ibo...well deserved.

    ReplyDelete
  84. So I took the liberty of checking out most of the songs on the list and I am truly impressed! The songs are really on point. It is obvious that they looked at the quality of the submissions not just the popularity of songs, bcos some of the songs we deem popular are actually mediocre songs when placed on the international pedestal. I was wowed by Olamide's songs, Waje's and Capital FEMI. Then Nikki Laoye's Only You blew me away, y'all need to check it here http://bit.ly/1g1punQ
    and ofcourse, Toh bad is really helped by a great video (the song was out in May). Alingo gave us a new dance, there r so many options, can't wait to see hw it goes down ;
