  1. A very sticky ad, i'd say.no audience will forget it in a hurry. it reflects what Nigeria has become.
But we can change things if we dare to.

  2. We brought it on ourselves now, all those stupid yahoo yahoo boys. My Ghanian colleague and a professor were just scammed $1000 dollars by these Naija 419ers in Malaysia and the circle continues. I hope God delivers us someday and soon.

When a uni graduate can spend hours/days planning a perfect scam but won't compile a good cv.... This is the outcome, a bad name given to us!

  12. I will send you the one Citizens bank has in all their branches about Naija here in Pennsylvania. Its a shame what we have become, I still rep Naija loud and proud but I always wonder what they are thinking about me especially because folks have to give me their social security number and personal details sometimes in the process of doing my Job. I know we can't stop fraud, but the Government needs to create an environment for jobs and then build plenty prisons so we can start to jail and reform this guys that are destroying the image of Nigeria.

they wldnt dare this with another race of ppl. They'll get sued!! Y dont they have an add with ... sorry, u shdnt be in the same plane with a pakistani and see wat happens...
regardless of the stereotype, an ad like this did not consider the many nigerians in their school. If i was there, i def be working on my transfer right abt now..
    stupid and shameful of them.
    very stupid... and disrespectful.
we all get the scam emails. The greedy ones are the ones who reply.

  17. Whatever jo. Yes, a large percentage of the internet scammers are Nigerian (let's not forget the ones that say they are Nigerian but aren't). Other countries have stereotypes, but it would be considered intolerant and stereotypical to pick on them. I'm so tired of their jokes. Some yahoo yahoo boys are good but some are actually pretty dumb. So who were the bloody idiots that believed that they won the lottery when they didn't buy tickets, or planned to collect money from a will from somebody they didn't know, or read an email with horrible spelling and all kinds of grammatical errors and thought it was sent by a professional (and they're the original English speakers. They only have one language to learn and they can't do that right). Nonsense. Abeg, our problems are bigger than this nonsense... Wanting to collect money that was held in a bank by Sani Abacha sef... what concerns them abroad with Sani Abacha's money? Doesn't that make them international thief-thief too? *hiss*

  21. Funny but really not funny. The yahoos are so bad, they even send emails to folks like me wey get very traditional cannot miss the LGA of origin name. No where I never see these emails. Even at work, Naijas dey send. I read recently about Indian police targeting Nigerians in India into yahoo. Then hte next paragraph said India was now the largest origin of these solicitation emails. Nigeria we hail thee.

  31. You can only file a complaint for defamation, not sue.
I mean who will do the suing, and who benefits?
That being said, I tend to use these kind of stereotypical statements to my advantage. makes for good jokes
