  1. Hope madam patience will always join her hubby on official trips to spain oo! Because I see more of such trips happening. Bianca is truly a beauty to behold! Good way of consolation though

  10. Nigeria and Jonathan never seizes to amaze me. What a waste of a position and an important one for that matter. Is it a beauty contest or the art of diplomacy. And definitely not to a country like Spain. May be I dont know what makes Bianca tik but I sure do know that Jonathan is sure going crazy in trying to please people for political gains. I understand that he's trying to assist the family of a fallen hero (Ojukwu) but there's should be limitations to it. Diplomacy is not a beauty contest. He already made her a senior adviser on Diaspora matter to the President. He should have just left it at that. I guess he would not be able to get a total assess to her when he so desires. Go to Spain on official business and he can...please fill in the blanks. This is why Nigeria cannot get anywhere in a life time.

    3. Why do you keep hammering on 'Its not a beauty contest'? You think that's all she's good for? You chauvinistic creature. Do some research first before you come here talking about its not a beauty contest. Research the woman. Research her educational background. And while you're at it, please search for ways to cleanse yourself of your disgusting thinking pattern.

  20. I cant believe people actually think its rite to make Bianca Ojukwu an Ambassador, did any of you even try to consider the fact that she's not qualified? i mean the woman was a former Model who started her own cosmetic line and now she an Ambassador. dont you have to have some years of experience in diplomacy to be able the bag the Ambassadorial title? Nigeria when are you guys going to learn? i really sympathize with her for the loss of her husband but couldnt the Federal Govt write her a cheque? if any thing this just shows that the leadership and follows of this country take things for granted, when things go wrong we start looking for whom to blame. how about acting responsible and burying sentiment while making strong decisions like who would represent us in another country. the day we become a people that can think without allowing shallow sentiment get the better part of our reasoning, that day we will have taken a large step towards greatness and development in this country.

  22. I have nothing against, but I must point out that Jonathan really needs to get checked! What a waste of a position. Imagine the career Diplomats who having been working for years for such a position only to have it appointed to a former beauty queen?

This is no beauty pageant! Do these pple have any idea what the job of a Diplomat involves??? It’s not about simply shaking hands and smiling for cameras. Please explain to me what knowledge she has about catering to the needs of Nigerians in Spain?? Any why Spain of all countries?? I could go on and on.

This guy needs to STOP trying to please people….Is it safe to assume that all the other wives will be getting appointments as well??

Isn't Njeze the one who started off with a chemist store in Enugu State? Sullivan Chime lifted her up, sent her name to be a Minister and after that failed adventure she's now been rewarded with a post? Only in my country. It means we can all make it if we utilise our connections or for some women; bottom power.

  72. Thats why we will continue to carry last. Someone who has never worked under anybody except answering Ojukwu's wife???? now an ambassador??? what is he going there to do? according to my Igbo brothers and sisters, to speak spanish? its not about speaking spanish, its about knowing and understanding international diplomacy, not Ojukwu's family tussle... we are still waiting... before it was one step forward one step backwards, now its all steps backwards....

    ReplyDelete
  73. Most appointed leaders in Nigeria lack REAL lleadership qualities, and that is the reason the country is failing terribly. I mean, look at the dummy you have as president, and past presidents are not better either.

Mrs Ojukwu is a lawyer, but how many years did she work in the government or in a field that qualifies her for this position. It's not about her profession or the number of languages she can speak, it's about experience.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Wiki says she is appointed as Ambassador to Ghana
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bianca_Odumegwu-Ojukwu

I don't know the criteria used for such appointments, I just feel that there are more deserving Nigerians who work in the public sector and could be given this post based on their education, career and experience in International Relations for decades - I now one personally... guess anything goes in the great Naija.

  75. Shameless and stupid Nigerians.......when a woman gets a position, its always that she slept around.its an insult to womanhood.those sayin toto dividends, maybe thats how ur mothers slept around to become the head of peppersellers.Whats your problem? Why the jealousy,Cant a beautiful woman hold a post again?must she be castigated for being goodlooking.what does it have to do with her ability.how many diplomats are qualified before?in most countries its a political appointment so if u like keep studying it in school,if you lacK the tact and connection, ure going nowhere.heard Obanikoro that lost to Fashola was made a diplomat as compensation.why didnt you all say he was opening leg for Tinubu.psychos

  78. The reason why i feel sorry for all of you who are against this position is because you obviously do not know any better. If your mum was giving this position would you be happy if you came online and saw people saying horrible thngs about her. Is there anything wrong in congratulating a woman, who i must say is quite extraordinary in her own right. Just because she is a beauty queen and a cosmetic owner does not mean she is not smart. Or are you saying that every beautiful person isnt smart enough to be giving a credible role? Dont get me wrong i understand why some of you would think the way you do, however i think Bianca should be giving credit for the fact that first of she was the wife to odumegwu Ojukwu. What does this mean? It means that, it would be quite impossible to say that Bianca did not pick up one or two things on being able to be a leader, i mean she had it first hand all her life. She was able to achieve being the winner of a beauty pageant, which i must add isnt that easy, and she also has a thriving business, and is a mother, a lawyer, and a woman with vast languages, if that isnt good enough for you, then my dears, what is? Is goodluck himself more qualified than she is? Or infact many other men and women ruling our country today? No they are not. So lets think before we speak people. I must add that she also came from a family of politics too. This woman is a woman of honor, a woman we should look up to, escpecially youg girls. If you follow Bianca you would know from her interviews right from time that she has always wanted to be in politics. Her dream has become a reality, whther it be through herhusband or connections. The fact that someof you are debating on whether she had to sleep with someone in order to get this post, is utter rubbish. I say this because not all women have to do this in order to get where they want to be, contrary to popular beliefs. I refuse to believe that women still do this, and i would like to say that if you do, then please stop. I would also like to say to nigerian men that i am dissapointed in the way you treat women, like they are objects. Cant you help someone without having to sleep with them? Think about it please? Please stop insinuating things like this, because it is rude and very disrespectful, her children might stumble upon this one day, and all they would do is cry. So please respect yourselves and respect others. I will always continue to use the phrase of "you heard...but did you see?

I congratulate you madam for being who you are, i hope you prove nigerians wrong for doubting you and not believing in you.

As for GEJ i have no words for you. You are a disgrace to this country and to all who believed in you. Change? Yeah you brought......to ruin the country to know return...thats not change...thats pure cruelty. God forgive you.

  80. You see this is what makes me tired of Nigerians! We hear a news and we never ask "why". I will echo Professor X word-for-word. A little education will help you so please do a some research on the woman and read your dailies more - apart from the fact that she's well read, she does have some key skills and experiences under her belt that will help her. I'd have said she shd be sent to the USA sef.

  90. Idiotic people leaving idiotic comments. Apart from her successful business and family she speaks 5 languages and can relate with world leaders on a level most idiotic politicians cannot. Being married to Ojukwu has made her a historical figure in Nigeria and she played that part excellently. She has transcended her status as an ex beauty queen to signify much more for not only Igbo women but the Nigerian woman generally.

Less competent people have been made ministers of important sectors of our country and no one complained. Leave her to prove he worth.
