  6. I think Monica has a great voice, that being said musically she's a has been.

Furthermore, being one out of many songwriters on a random song on a random album is not a big deal in the bigger scheme of things.

Either way, I hope Tiwa got paid well for her efforts, at her age, she's at the tail end of her career as a performer, a writer or an industry exec is the best she can hope for now, and thus is right up that alley...

  17. Nice melody...but ruined by excessive auto-tune. From what I've heard she has a great voice so the auto tune was completely unnecessary.

    1. That's becuz she was the writer. But in general, she can't fuck with Monica vocally. Omawumi and Ego will murder Tiwa vocally, lol

  23. @ Anon 1:43 pm - You are so on point and sound like you know a lot about the music industry. Sad Tiwa didn't make it big abroad in her twenties cos she has a great voice. Sadly a thirty something female music performer should be getting ready to retire ...maybe not in naija sha. Monica is so over, Rihanna and the young ones have taken over. Monicas time was in the 90s, I'm surprised her record label hasn't dropped her - guess she still has moderate success.

  24. I prefer Tiwa's version, it is so on point, i can actually feel the sincerity in her voice and i got the message of the song more in her version, though Monica is also sensational , i loveeee ma tiwa...U go gal, keep making Nigeria proud
