Some of you might know him as Ekwe Sample; his song Ekwe was quite popular many years back. He was also once a Glo ambassador. Not much was heard from him for many years until news filtered into town last week that he was arrested for the alleged murder of his baby mama, a lady called Rukayat Idris.
Rukayat was found dead in her car under a bridge around the Mile 2-Badagry Express way sometime last month. A few days after her death, Rukayat's family members went to the police accusing Stereoman of killing her.
Stereoman and Rukayat lived together with their daughter until last year when he ended their relationship and moved out of their home. While they were together, Stereoman was alleged to have battered Rukayat often; one of the things that led to their separation. But battery doesn't mean murder. Stereoman is denying having anything to do with the sudden and mysterious death of Rukayat.
He is being held at the D4 section of State CID Panti, where he will be until an autopsy report is released.

Deletebattery can lead to murder na. why are u pp talking like dis. i almost died from beating by my ex hubby bc he has anger problems and can start beating me from a laughter mood.as in u wont know what can get him angry. until i was almost killed. but in this case he propbably killed her to have access to the child that is if he did.if he is innocent God will deliver him but if he is guilty may he be punished.

ReplyDeleteHer name is Rekiya not Rukayat,and she was my friend. She was a very nice and jovial girl but her relationship with Stereoman was full of troubles and constant battery. One time he beat her and pushed her into d gutter,so why won't her family get him arrested ? I feel for her mum and I pray she rests in d bossom of the Lord.
