Censors Board trying to Ban the movie 'Dangerous Men'

Nigeria Censors Board is trying to ban the movie - Dangerous Men, a film by Nigerian director GuGu E. Michaels. The film was supposed to start showing in cinemas today. The Census board say the movie shows kidnapping and assassination, portraying Nigeria in a negative light.

"Censors board's job is to rate a movie not to stop it from coming out. They are violating my freedom of expression. We will fight this!" The director GuGu Michaels said

This is just the sort of thing you expect from a backward country like Nigeria, that lives in denial.Instead of confronting problems,we would rather sweep them under the carpet. This nonsense about movies giving Nigeria an undeserved bad-name should stop.No one denigrates Nigeria because of movie content;rather Nigeria is not respected because of it's prodigious level of corruption, and the ineptitude of it's government.

That's preposterous! Seriously, they must be joking. I remember one Nollywood movie based on the kidnapping of the then Anambra gov. why wasn't that banned too?

Hypocrites!!the EFCC go after easy meat..private citizens..now this..sorry but who funds the kidnappers or aren't this the same political thugs they hire and fund!!
Sort out the problems in the country and there would be no kidnapping..though some of this kidnappers need to be executed for the murder of that university boy killed by the DCP(a family friend of the boy) and the Doctor who's ransom was paid but was killed!!

This is a case of one ignoring a burning house by it's side BUT pointing & shouting fire! fire!at a burning paper on the floor!

You know, i get tired of 'over-sabi' people.....always wanting to use the 'poor man' as scape-goats! So what about our leaders & rich men & their kids that put our image in the bad light huh?
