Wire Tapping accusation: Obama's spokesman says Trump's claim is 'simply false'

A few hours ago, President Donald Trump made a stunning claim alleging that his predecessor, Barack Obama, wiretapped Trump Tower ahead of the 2016 election.

A spokesperson for former President Barack Obama has now responded to Trumps accusation calling the unverified claim "simply false.". Obama's spokesman, Kevin Lewis said in a statement;
"A cardinal rule of the Obama administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice. As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any US citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false."

  4. Trump is just looking for a way to distract their investigations on him and Russia, he will continue throwing tantrums here and there just to divert their attention. The Americans know him very well, so they're not distracted by his frivolities.

  11. At no time has American polity been this divided, heated and torn to shreds along party lines. The Dems (Democrats) in the senate are trying so hard to stop many Trump's appointees and or policies as against the majority GOP (Grand Old Party/Republicans). This situation is even made worse now that Trump, elected under the GOP platform has been accused of having link with Russia who allegedly was said to have hacked and leaked informations that influenced the US presidential election outcome. Trump has alleged that president Obama wiretapped his tower in what was similar to Watergate scandal of 1970s (a wiretapping activity at the Dems quarters in Watergate, Washington) which led to resignation of President Richard Nixon and his succession by vice president Ford who amnestied the former.
    Trump hasn't come up with any weighty evidence as to the allegations he preferred against Obama. The polity is even more divided now that some celebrities and media outfits are at war with Trump's presidency. This is not the America we used to know when they used the cliché 'never bet against America'. I will advise that Trump focuses more on political issues confronting the US than this unpresidential tweets.
