Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State, today Friday, June 10, swore in Justice Rabi Talatu Umar as the first female Chief Judge of the state.
A statement from the Governor reads:
"It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment and swearing in of our first female Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar.
"She has a long standing record of uprightness, impartiality and incorruptible adjudication. I am confident our judiciary is in good hands.
I wish her well during her tenure and I urge the good people Bauchi State to support her in the fight to ensure fair justice for all."
