Photos: Bauchi State gets first female Chief Judge

Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State, today Friday, June 10, swore in Justice Rabi Talatu Umar as the first female Chief Judge of the state. A statement from the Governor reads:
"It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment and swearing in of our first female Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar.

"She has a long standing record of uprightness, impartiality and incorruptible adjudication. I am confident our judiciary is in good hands. I wish her well during her tenure and I urge the good people Bauchi State to support her in the fight to ensure fair justice for all." Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar Esq., Governor, Bauchi State

  7. Is she wearing a headscarf? In the law, correct apparel is very important. She should have worn a hat, please. Don't diminish the legal profession.
