The Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has announced the increment of the National Minimum Wage for the state civil servants from N18,000 to N25, 000 with immediate effect. Oshiomhole made the announcement at the grand finale of activities to mark the 2016 Workers Day in the state. He announced that the 13 months salaries being owed workers of Egor Local Government Council will be paid within the next two weeks. Oshiomole assured the workers that irrespective of the drop in oil price, they will still be getting their salaries as at when due.
Desperate man! if you like make it 37,000000, APC must never win

DeleteHis intentions aren't noble. Edo state gubernitorial election is next year. It's all politics. He suspects his part is loosing ground in Edo, now he is prospectively making thing things difficult for incoming but again the has just made a mockery of APC led federal government who has been crying fowl that there is no money in the system.

ReplyDeleteJust imagine,he is about leaving office and he want to create problem for the next government
ReplyDeleteIs this true?? Nice one.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I thought it's not the responsibility of the governor to pay local government staff. Maybe I'm wrong sha
You aren't wrong, ordinarily they aren't suppose to but most state do federal and local government joint account which allows state government receives local government monthly allocation. Now this is illegal because it undermines the autonomy of the local government and encourages unnecessary influence on local government chairmen by the governor. That is why most governor prefers not to do a local government election instead they appoint administrator for easy "kill and divide".
DeleteHe's a big fool,he got few months in office, that's when he want to do that so when the new parson come in there will be problems for him, then he will be the good guy, nonsense
ReplyDeleteThat's nice!
ReplyDeleteGood or them.....it can only get beta

ReplyDeleteWhen his tenure is almost ending! When it was 18,000 naira, they could not pay and owed LGA workers for 13 months. Politicians!
ReplyDeleteWhen you have few months to go, he is raising minimum wage! Why didn't he do it for years! Who is fooling who? Abeg go and pack well, stop deceiving people!

ReplyDeleteFake, while some local Government are still own 8months salary. Because of election. Not enough for APC to win.
ReplyDeleteYou do not have a job. If you did, you would know what 7k is. Ndi Uchu! Mtcheeeeew!
ReplyDeleteWhen a governor wants to seem like the good guy....and plans to make his successor look wicked. What analysis has he done to prove that this is sustainable?
ReplyDeleteThis is wickedness. Because your leaving office, you want to create a burden for your successor. What have you monkey put in place to generate additional 7k per worker? And people that lack concave lens are clapping already. Open your eyes so that you will not be hoodwinked double by same person.
ReplyDeleteWhat is he wearing? I thought he have changed his sense of dressing since the era of the oyibo wife ??

ReplyDelete-D great anonymous now as Vivian Reginalds
Yeah... He pays the 25k for some months and pass the wahala to the next governor. When you raise minimum wage, you have to adjust the entire salary scale.
ReplyDeleteFoolish Oshio. Why didn't he increase it all these yres? Y now that he is leaving the office? Long hiss. Even to pay workers has been so weak
ReplyDeleteGood one Oshio baba.

Confused Governor, why now??? When you have less than 7 months to leave. When you have many outstanding's yet to be cleared, what to Orihonwmon local government council workers 8 months unpaid salaries??? I see politics playing here. Confused man!
ReplyDeleteIt shall be well.

ReplyDeletethis gorilla, for your mind you have done something oo, those workers wages are nothing compared to the amount u give to the girls you carry on short-time every Friday night..as you marry model ur dick still dey itch u .MF
ReplyDeleteAdam bas been lost to me for long be and amaecbi were two great southern voices but they destroy their own legend and that bas nothing to do with their party but everything to do with governance
ReplyDeleteGo to benin ask the people just 5to tell you who the most corrupt governor is? Go to ph ask they y so much hate for amaechi ,ask them what amaechi did to rivers people you will no the truth
ReplyDeleteOshimole has few months to go. Why now? Some local government are owed up to 13 months salary, how is this possible? This is all politics and I am sure Edo people understand s better. They can't be fooled !!!
ReplyDelete"13 months unpaid salaries".....This is inhumane. The increment when his tenure is almost due , is a strategy to canvas support for his party in the next election. The next governor will be laden with this ill-timed move.
ReplyDeletePolitically motivated, why now it is time for change in edo.
ReplyDeleteHow to make a girl wet when sitting close to her @ www.almightytoastingformula.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteWickedness is to stay in power for 8 yrs and increase the state wage bill from 18k to 25k while owing 13months salary; hoping to drown ur successor with debt burden. Now this is wickedness!
ReplyDeleteu do well, hope others cant emulate u on dis.
ReplyDeleteolatee
