Buhari writes National Assembly to correct errors in 2016 budget

According to a report by Thisday, President Buhari has written to the Nationally Assembly to formally request the withdrawal of the 2016 Budget. In a letter which was addressed to Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Reps Yakubu Dogara, Buhari sought to make amends to some errors in the budget which was presented to a joint session of the National Assembly on December 22nd.

Sources say President Buhari had discovered after presenting the budget to the National Assembly that some of the figures earmarked for operations in the Presidency and the State House were being publicly criticized as outrageous and higher than those of the past administration. He is said to have directed the recall of the 2016 budget from the National Assembly for review.

  22. We called him father of all nation and we gladly accepted him to see our problems, who is 73 years old as they said because I 'Chidi' doubted it,he has a lot of work to do, generally!looking after us as his children, solving problems that matters and also bring back the change deliberately as he promised during his campaign .Now worse of it all,he make unnecessary travel from one country to another on his purposes, engaging on looters, making things worst than before bring back the old like frustration, humiliation and stagnation back to back. indeed he just want our enemies to destroy us!they already took our sisters in which he promised to bring back but no prevail..he doesn't care about our situation,he just want us to die in hunger, disease and starvation etc!!!my question is why cant him donate @least 30% of his time to us or is it how to fight corruption?....wish I could fly,fly to somewhere that better off!!!.#wizzupnaija#

  34. This simply means that the missing budget brouhaha was caused by the presidency. The truth is coming out small by small. I remember during the campaigns they showed PMB drinking tea with a satchet milk. Now the Presidency budget is higher now than the GEJ era. Naija I hail thee.

  35. The truth has been let out. A SWITCH was in the offing all the while and they called it #missingbudget. These guys do not know the limits to propaganda. Classical and tired Scenario Staging in PR. And Nigerians are buying it. They throw these "Scenarios" like bones-to-dogs. The press, and gullible Nigerians chase after it. And the days turn to months... That is what happens when majority of of the "educated" are merely ACCULTURED instead of going to school for quality EDUCATION. Sad... Very sad.

So they didn't study the budget before presenting it. I am sorry for this country and our new change.
