Remember those guys that robbed SABC TV crew live on TV? They have been arrested

In early March, SABC TV crew were mugged live on TV in Johannesburg while covering the arrival of Zambian president to South Africa (Read here). According to South African media, those men have now been arrested.

The thieves robbed the crew, then ransacked their van where they took phones, a bag containing equipments, and someone's credit card. They were eventually tracked down and arrested after they tried to sell the phones. Only in SA will people attempt to mug on live TV.

Nigerian reportedly attacked in Johannesburg

A chilling story from a Nigerian who lives in Centurion, South Africa about an attack on another Nigerian in Johannesburg today. Meanwhile, how many of you have watched those horrible videos on Facebook showing the killing of African immigrants? And they are attacking children. In one video, some children were beaten, tied up and the men poured gasoline on their body. Can't share the videos here...go on Facebook. Can't believe this is happening in 2015.

Check out this epic throwback photo of Abacha, Abiola & Tinubu

This was before the one on the left jailed the one on the right and the one behind formed Nigeria's strongest opposition party - now soon-to-be ruling party. Epic photo!

Mum posts her '15yr old' daughter's pics on twitter, & it's got people talking

A 'proud' mum posted these photos of her daughter on twitter a few hours ago and wrote "My baby is 15 today'. Of course, many asked her how this grown person could be 15 and she replied that she was born in 2000. 1, she doesn't look 15 and 2, if she really is, then that's an inappropriate outfit for a 15 year old girl to wear...and they told her that. Well, she posted it on social media so she will get our opinions whether asked for it or not...lol. What do you think?

Biko, what is wrong with what Michael Bubble posted that people are attacking him?

Canadian singer Michael Buble is being bashed on social media for posting this photo on instagram. I don't understand why this is making people mad when he meant it as a compliment? So, during a trip to Miami with his wife and son, Michael's wife took this photo of him with a well endowed lady in the background. He must have liked the pic because he posted it on instagram and wrote;
"There was something about this photo lu took ,that seemed worthy of instagram.  #myhumps #babygotback #hungryshorts #onlyinmiami #picoftheday #beautifulbum
That's when the trolls came for him, saying he was body-shaming the unidentified woman. *sigh*

Win N350,000 in the Ennovation Challenge

How often have you had problems trying to pay for something via a cashless transaction? How frustrating does it get sometimes? Are we truly cashless or not? When are we going to get it right we have all asked one too many times.

But... What if it was possible for you to help solve the problem?  What if it was possible for you to make money (and win some cool gagdets) from making sure that we all don't pay for any transaction with physical cash, in the nearest future?

Chibok girls kidnapped to present GEJ's govt as incompetent- Doyin Okupe

Below is what the presidential Spokesperson shared this morning on his Facebook page...
One of the reasons the Chibok girls were kidnapped was to present Jonathan's administration as incompetent and hold it to ransom against 2015 elections.
One of the reasons the BBOG was formed was to sustain and internationalise the embarrassment. One of the reasons President Jonathan lost the election was a national and international conspiracy predicated on this carefully choreographed and assiduously sustained perception.

UK Taxpayers face huge bill to recover profits from £50m fraudster (James Ibori)

Here's a report I found on Standard UK. UK Taxpayers are blaming former Delta state governor James Ibori for a huge new bill. Find the report below...
Taxpayers are facing a “huge” new bill after efforts to force a former Nigerian state governor from London to repay profits from a £50 million fraud were delayed for more than a year.
James Ibori, who began his working life as a £5,000-a-year cashier at a Wickes DIY branch in Ruislip, became a multi-millionaire after returning to his homeland and committing a series of scams during an eight-year career running its oil rich Delta State.

Between Teebillz and Ghanaian star, Joselyn Dumas

So here's what happened. Teebillz, under his management alongside Spellz for 323Ent produced a song for his artist Trafic titled Joselyn Dumas, which was partly about the Ghanian actress. But Joseyln's management claim they were not informed that a song was being made about her and contacted 323Ent not to use her name or image for their song. 323 then contacted Joselyn's new management for permission and they requested to listen to the song first before they give it. When they heard the song, they said they didn't particularly like the lyrics as it was talking about her body which they weren't comfortable it and so didn't give permission. Then her management released an official statement two days ago saying they have officially signed Joselyn and anyone who wants to deal with her must go though them.

Something pissed Teebillz off because he went on instagram this morning to call out Joselyn...

Meet the South African king whose remarks launched the Xenophobic attacks

Zulu King Godwill Zwelithi's utterances on March 23rd launched the Zenophobic attacks in South Africa and he had refused to apologize, even after finding out that his people have maimed, killed and destroyed businesses belonging to black foreigners. He's still insisting that foreigners should go back to their countries but tried to save face by saying attacking the foreigners is not how to chase them away. He wants the government to do it legally.

During a speech last month, Zwelithini called for the deportation of foreign nationals living in the country, saying it was unacceptable locals were being made to compete with people from other countries for the few economic opportunities they had available. King Zwelithi said "foreigners must pack their bags and go home".

Photo: David Cameron goes to Pastor Adeboye for prayers as he prepares for UK elections

The UK general election will be held May 7th. Current UK Prime Minister David Cameron of the Conservative Party is up against Ed Miliband of Labour Party & Nick Clegg of the Liberal Democrat.

Cameron must be feeling the pressure of the election because he went to RCCG event in the UK last night to be prayed for by pastor E.A Adeboye. When did Cameron become so religious? And when has he ever gone to a black church? Or he's just looking for black votes? Lol.

Igbo leaders a disgrace - Etcetera writes

I don't know why this guy thinks it's okay to say Igbo leaders are a disgrace...shuo! But I think he's Igbo (his name is Pascal Ejikeme) so let's read what he's got to say and tell us what you think.
I was told that every Igboman who heard Ojukwu’s speech after the Biafran war was filled with a renewed sense of pride and hope. A hope that one day the Igbo nation will rise and become a force of reckoning not just in Nigeria but in the entire black world. I have read that speech over and over and each time I read through, I am filled with pride and imagination of how those who heard the words pouring out of the mouth of the warlord himself must have felt. Before going any further, let me recount a little part of what the late sage said while addressing the press:

Card Expo 2015 Event

You will remember that the momentum of using cards started a few years ago when people started getting used to ATMs. Well, the story is changing very fast these days. Since the Central Bank of Nigeria effectively introduced the cashless policy in 2012, we have seen more usage of cards not just on ATMs but on POS.

Needless to say that the bullion vans and sirens have disappeared and people are now transferring money electronically through NIBSS Instant Payment and NIBSS Electronic Funds Transfer.

Zimbabwe begins evacuation of its citizens from South Africa

Zimbabwe's High Commissioner to South Africa, Isaac Moyo says the Zimbabwean government has concluded plans to begin the evacuation of about 1,000 Zimbabweans resident in South Africa following the recent xenophobic attacks in the country.
"Identification and processing of repatriation documents has already been done. It is very sad. Most people do not have any documentation. They don't have any clothes apart from what they are wearing. Many of them left all their clothes and property behind. We are documenting people. This process means that we are giving them some sort of documentation to use upon returning to Zimbabwe. We are organising some buses to take them from Durban to Beit Bridge (the border between South Africa and Zimbabwe).
