Photos: Amaechi holds Thanksgiving in Port Harcourt

Former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi held a special thanksgiving service today to celebrate the 8th year of the supreme court ruling that made him governor of the state on October 25th 2007. The supreme court had on the day nullified the election of Celetine Omehia and installed Rotimi Amaechi as governor. The evening of hymns, psalms and spiritual songs held at Aztech Arcum along Ken Saro Wiwa road. More photos after the cut...

  6. Thanksgiving for what again? Misplaced priorities. I honestly do not have anything against this man but this sudden celebration though is out of place. Lots of money must have gone into this Thanksgiving which should have gone into something more beneficial for the suffering masses around him. Anyway may God's will alone be done in Rivers state IJN.

  28. Hi Linda, you got the name of the governor wrong. The current governor of Rivers State is Nyesom Wike and not Celestine Omehia. Curiously, a lot of people were awestruck with your charm to notice the error, lols. Who wouldn't be caught up in the charm of a young, beautiful billionaire like you? *Winks*

  33. Remember, no one can cheat God or use HIS NAME for undeserved publicity. Amechi is corrupt in person as well as in nature, all he does is attached with #corruption

  35. Amaechi is not corrupt but can afford to charter private jets. When Dogara did it, sahara reporters put it on front page.

  36. The Jet belongs to Dr. Ernest Azudialu of Nestoil
