Novelist Jackie Collins dies of breast cancer at age 77

Jackie Collins, the best-selling author of dozens of steamy novels who depicted the boardrooms and bedrooms of Hollywood's power crowd, died yesterday, Saturday 19th 2015, of breast cancer at age 77, her family said.

The British-born younger sister of actress Joan Collins, died in Los Angeles, said her spokeswoman Melody Korenbrot.

"It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful, dynamic and one of a kind mother, Jackie Collins, who died of breast cancer today," the family said in a statement.
Collins sold more than 500 millions copies of her books in 40 countries and has some 30 New York Times bestsellers, according to her own website.

    OMG, my favorite writer is gone. First it was Sidney scheldon, now it's Jackie. John Grisham should not die oo. This woman wrote books that will keep u @ d edge of ur seat. Hollywood wives for example. RIP Madam Jackie.

    Oh no!!!!! not Jackie. One of my best authors is gone!!! Her novels got me through those boring days before service. I don't joke with her books.She, Danielle Steel, Sydney Sheldon and Nora Roberts always get me.May her soul RIP. Quite sad.

    Sad sad news... I became one of her biggest fans after reading her book "Chances" and the whole Santangelo family series. Brilliant and very daring Author she was. Rest in peace Jackie Collins. Amen.
