Aftermath of car crash: Akpabio flown abroad for further treatment

Former AkwaIbom governor, Senator Godswill Akpabio who survived a car crash on Monday August 31st in Abuja has reportedly been flown abroad for further treatment.

Akpabio who had some injuries on his chest after the accident, was rushed to the Trauma ward of the National Hospital Abuja for treatment. He was discharged on Monday evening but was flown abroad yesterday afternoon at about 1pm aboard his private jet.

Airport sources however say he looked fit when he arrived the airport at about 12 noon.  He traveled with 5 of his aides.

These government officials should be made not to leave nigeria for health care acessment, this will make then take our health care system serious and do the needful. 9. "His private jet" "with 5 of his aides"! This Nincompoop never had this luxury before he became governor. These crooks will steal our money, and "eat" it right in our face daring us to do our worse! They then set us off on an APC-PDP beef. We now come on social media insulting ourselves forgetting they're all thieves. When are we ever going to collectively gather the liver to begin to lynch these criminals of our patriarchy? Some folks on this blog were saying they were happy he came out alive after the accident. I never took that position. If you see the way these men harass innocent drivers out of the road and sometimes into the bush, you will agree with me that he didn't need any pity.

  57. One of the things we are expecting from our President is to equip hospitals, raise it up to standard that we don't need to seek treatment from abroad. one of the reasons why they still is this, if we can get everything we need here what is the essence of travelling out for treatment. pls equip our hospitals and pay good attention to the doctors.

    ReplyDelete
  58. They just want to waste money. Why travel abroad for treatment when u can get the best treatment for such case here in Nigeria.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Your excellency when you were governor in charge of billions did you not see it fit to develop a world class hospital in your state?

No you were busy giving state money to musicians, politicians and sycophants who surrounded you and made you feel you were invincible.

May God mercifully grant you a speedy recovery

  70. Nawa sha. It seems this war on kwarraption get as ebee. Soon after the senate minority leader and some of his senate associates wrote a letter denouncing or washing off their hands from Lamorde's (EFCC) probe, somehow/another, the CIA's convoy rear-ends Akpabio's car. Is that a mere coincidental "accident" or what? Now, Akpabio was one of PDP's staunchest governors who ensured the baton was passed to another PDP aspirant despite a formidable APC opposition. There are rumblings the tribunal judges to look into recent election malpractices are largely, hand picked and malleable ones by the APC who seek to over-turn election results in Akwa Ibom, Rivers & Taraba states.
Just wondering if all these events/"accidents" are some how connected. If they are linked, then the war against kwarraption has taken a different dimension-o, albeit, a very under-handed and sinister one. QED@atm

  76. The private jet is the jet bought with Akwa Ibom money when he was Governor. It cost $45 million. The present Governor (his planted successor) does not even have access to the jet, yet, it has become Akpabio's private jet. Interestingly, Akpabio has still not moved out of Government House,Uyo! The current Governor, Udom Emmanuel, is operating out of his private residence in Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo. Sad.
