TV reporter and photographer shot and killed on live TV in Virginia

Television journalist Alison Parker, 24, (left) and Photojournalist Adam Ward (right) with WDBJ7 TV, were shot dead by a gunman today Wednesday morning August 26th around 6.45am (local time) while reporting live on air at Bridgewater Plaza, Moneta, Virginia. The crew was carrying out an interview when gunshots were fired. Adam was first shot dead and Alison was killed as she tried to run. Alison graduated from college in 2012. The lady they were interviewing is in critical condition in the hospital.

The gunman is at large but the cameraman captured the killer on camera as he fell after being shot as his camera was still running. The motive for the shooting is not known. See the photo after the cut...

    2. They were both engaged to different partners; ready to start their lives. Very painful. The name of the gunman is Vester L Flanagan, former employee of WDVJ. He used the name Bryce Williams while on air. They are not calling him a suspect yet. Wonder wht his motive was. Too many guns in the wrong hands. The US authority has to do something abt this. God rest the souls of d dead.

  12. Weldone Linda, I always appreciate your news stories. I have noticed a mistake in your headlines which goes thus ...TV reporter and photographer shot dead... your statement here means one person instead of two people. There should be indefinite articles determining the two titles. It should have been ...A TV reporter and a photographer shot dead... check Concord rules to confirm the usage of the conjunction 'and'.
