APC will henceforth be fully involved in the subsequent appointments - Oyegun

On Thursday, August 27, Pres.Buhari drew the anger of many across the country when the list of his latest appointment was released. The list which contained six new key appointees was criticized as being lopsided. Responding to the widespread outrage and criticisms over the appointment, APC national chairman Chief John Oyegun in an interview with Thisday on Saturday in Abuja said,
"It is too early and superficial to say the appointments were lopsided; it is too early. We are just a little over two months into the government. The appointments made so far are personal staff members of the president. And it is his prerogative to make the appointments."
The chairman added, "Even though we were marginally involved in those appointments, the party will henceforth be fully involved in the subsequent appointments; that is where the supremacy of the party will come to bear. Nigerians should exercise a little patience. There will be board appointments, ministerial positions and a lot of other positions"

  13. It was enlightening watching Tunji Braithwaite talk on this subject matter earlier today on Channels #PoliticsToday.
he did justice to this issue of appointment and how its a mere distraction to the major national issues.

    6. I think Mr Bonario is under the illusion that there is a United Nigeria! Very wrong. The division in this country presently is as bad as it was during the Civil War!!! I guess you are too young to realize what this ethnic and religious bigot of a president is doing to the country he swore to uphold it's unity. The earlier psychopants like you begin to tell the old man the ugly truth like his dumb party has just realized, the better for us all because no nation has ever survived 2 civil wars. As Rev. Kukah wisely put it Buhari can only be president if there is a country. That is wisdom.

  18. Is it in the appointment of the Cabinet where the constitution specifically stipulates that it must be drawn across the six geo-political zones that APC want to deceive gullible Nigerians that they contributed to the spread? Abeg go and take several seats joor. Still the assignment of Portfolios will once again prove that PMB is nothing but an ethnic, tribal and religious bigot.

  20. Wait ooo..... I just need to ask Nigerians a
    question....
Are we (some) really in their right senses sha?
What kind of "unnecessary uproar" are we
carrying all about concerning the appointments of
Mr President so far.........about dominating the
    ministerial list with Northerners

Seriously....... are we really joking or serious here?

What kind of "balanced regionalization" act of
government you wanna be running in my country..
Mr President his appointing his ministers based
on merit..... not on a rubbish "balanced
    regionalization".

If he sees that those who are competent,
    reliable.....capable personalities are mostly from
the north......no problem......... even sef .....if
they are from his family.....no wahala.
In as much as they will deliver.
In as much as they will serve their father land
    efficiently and effectively.
In as much as they will take-up their
    responsibilities.
In as much as they will carry out their job
    diligently.........So why are now complaining.

Aren't we the one who wants change.. ...
And My President is the right answer to it........
    He isn't just about " change" only.......but a
    "better change".

Fuck the rule of the law about a balanced-regionalization. The rule you've been following since
    1960......
yet you have no good things to write
    home about your country.
yet you are still wallowing in poverty.
yet you are still being slapped and robbed in the
face by some maggots past government through
    embezzlement of your country's riches..(money).

Carry on my Incorruptible, my impartial, and my
    Godfearing President.......Muhammad Buhari.

May God's grace and protection be with you
    always. Amen.

  29. APC please leave Buhari alone let him do what he was voted in to do ; serve the people. Stop trying to manipulate at all costs in all areas. How many times have you heard the party chairman or spokes person for the party that Barack Obama or David Cameron belong to, get involve in their constitutional or elective duties openly. The president might belong to your party, he is the president you are not. PLEASE BACK OFF. ONLY IN NIGERIA RILL THIS HAPPEN.

  30. Mr Oyegun please stop all the nonsense.what dirty involvement?when all the juicy appointments has gone to aboki people. PMB and his aboki people will show these SW and SS leaders in APC that aboki has come back to take back their so called birth rite. PMB will give SW and SS appointments that will demand more work and give his aboki people more juicy appointment that demand less work for them to do. APC SW and SS Ntorr una never start una go hear pepe.

  31. I think some should enlighten Oyegun and possibly Lai Mohammed the definition of the word personal appointments. How can someone say SSG,Comptroller General of Immigration and Custom are all personal. APC with their political propagandist of tip-walking and calling it running.

  34. The appointments are lopsided. It is unfortunate to see that the reason for change and unity is not practiced. All appointments whichever should have equal representation rather than personal appointments, its totally unacceptable and disappointing.

    ReplyDelete
  35. A case of medicine after death. Wetin dey do this Oyegun sef? Is he saying customs, immigration and the rest parastatals are the personal domain of Buhari? Talk about blind loyalty.
