Lagos state government alerts residents on new robbery tactics

The Lagos State Government yesterday alerted residents of the state on new tactics armed robbers have devised to rob. In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Habib Aruna, the state government said robbers now render their prospective victims unconscious through rubbing a perfumed handkerchief on their faces before robbing them. The statement added that the robbers usually target unsuspecting victims either in a lonely commuter bus, taxi or a quiet corner.

The statement listed the Igando axis in Alimosho LGA as one of the areas where this is common
“It is not yet known how harmful the drug being used on the handkerchief is. While that is being checked out, it may be necessary to alert members of the public on this new dimension”, the statement said.

  28. What exactly is this Ambode guy even doing sef?? What is his mission or even vision for Lagos? Fashola has already started working during this period in his first tenure, this one is just sitting ducks. The fact everyone is focus on Buhari should not give this governors any room to lay idle n steal the nations resources

They will Peacefully take ur valuables without the suspicion of people passing by. They police around these areas should please do something. Those boys are animals.
