Graphic photo: Corps member stabbed to death in Imo state

A Batch C corp member popularly known as Hope was stabbed to death in his room in Aboh Mbise local government of Imo state last Saturday June 6th. His door was broken into while he slept and was attacked. Eyewitnesses say he was stabbed to death by an indigene. The police is currently investigating the case but no arrest has been made so far. Sad! A pic of his room after the killing after the cut...*warning - contains graphic photo*

    Man inhumanity to man. May his soul rest in peace. I won't forget a fateful night i was almost killed in a village in Isiala Ngwa south Local government where I served, while coming from a friend's house. Abuse and maltreatment of Corp members happen everywhere in the country, mostly in rural and suburban areas, although most times doesn't result into death so we don't get to hear about them. The government have to do much more than cheap talks to protect the lives of Corp members who leave their family and friend to go serve their fatherland in a distant, strange, difficult and sometimes hostile environment. Strong measures have to be in place to prevent such brutality from happening in the future. My advice to serving Corp members is that pls avoid any form of argument with the indigenes. Go to ppa, go for ur cds, and count down to your POP peacefully

I really dont know what led to his desath tho.. but from personal experience I will advise corp members to stay away from these indigenous girls at their ppa especially when they are close to where they live.... I hope someone will listen and learn from this... Its a persoanl experience.. Just be careful the kind of girls you wanbt to take advantage of because it is clear we dont have plans for them but to straph while some are planning to take them to the alter.. Lets be wise please!!!

    I cant believe some Nigerians still reason this way. A person was murdered in a village (God rest his gentle soul) and some Nigerians attribute it to the the people of a certain tribe "quoting unjustified myths of ancient past...if you see an Mbaise man...bla bla bla". Listen, people have been murdered in other places, states and villages across Nigeria. Evil is Evil, no matter where it happens. Not every Mbaise person is a killer, some of us should stop behaving like illiterates already. I am from Mbaise and I've been hearing this unsubstantiated crap right from when i was little. I would never hurt a rat, let alone a human. Besides, we all don't know the genesis of this attack. It could be school related - we don't know for sure. We should never be quick to condemn a community of people for one person's sick twisted ways. Lets educate our minds my people and rise from this BS talk.

      There is an element of truth to it. I'm an mbaise woman and I could have never married an mbaise man. A lot of them are mean and selfish. Not all but a whole bunch. I cannot even vouch for my relations. However it is wrong for people to condemn a whole group just because one person did something evil. Not all mbaise pple are bad.
