Anidi Reginald pictured above, a 27 year old Computer Science graduate from a University in Cotonou has been arrested by men of the Enugu state police command for working with other members of an armed robbery gang to snatch a car from their victim at Ozalla, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu state on Saturday May 16th.
Punch reports that the robbers had attacked and snatched a Honda Pilot car, with registration number AAA 598 CH from its owner and were heading for Enugu metropolis when the police was alerted about the robbery incident and a hot pursuit ensued. The robbers and the police engaged in a gun battle which led to the arrest of Enugu born Anidi while his other members escaped.
While confirming the incident, the Enugu state Police Public Relations Officer  Ebere Amaraizu, said items recovered from the robbers includes an automatic pump action gun, one cut-to-size English-made single barrel gun, and cartridges.
When interrogated, Anidi said unemployment made him go into armed robbery.

  9. unemployment is never an excuse to go into armed robbery- it is a path that eventually leads one to danger and even death- Anidi went to university in Cotonou (of all places)- surely he could have used his brain to create employment for himself????

  34. Would u blame him? Our government has failed us, instead of them creating jobs they are busy pocketing all the money.. they should go and arrest our politicians they are the real thieves, they have made us poor to the extent of we not knowing our rights anymore. why should we seek for job for more than ten years after graduating from school? Am not encouraging this guy, but our government should do sometin to end this.

  36. All those blaming government should shut up. A bad child is a bad child. Being unemployed doesnt give you the right to steal and commit crimes. Nigeria is still developing. Even in Europe, they also have those that are looking for jobs daily. He is an irresponsible fool. Humble yourself and carry cement, learn a trade or fix people's computers. There are many things that he can do. He's just being lazy and wants fast money. Most of the genuine rich men we have in the country today started with humble beginnings. He should rot in jail.

  37. one by one they shall be caught

  38. As if I knew he will say unemployment lured him into robbery. You went to a good sch & studied a good course 'computer science ', u can not start with small business & grow big.

  39. The blood of the innocent he has been killing has arrested him. He is a notorious criminal. He has been in jail in Cotonou even as a student he rubbed the bank. This news should go all the way down to Cotonou. Shameless fool and information said that his younger brother is also like him

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think the parents also contributed to this they should have allowed him to waste in jail
