    7. Nothing in this country will ever work without the basic necessities. No constant light, never constant fuel. And we want to run hospitals and have ambulances. The government really needs to step up

    8. Dis is bizarre, and definition of inefficiency. I pray Nigeria get to d era of efficiency whereby we wil not see tins lik dis happening. Wht a shame.

  13. This should be expected when ambulances are used for other duties like bringing staff to and from work, conveying oga's wife to market, taking children to and from school and going on general errands.

  24. This should be funny but it is not! This is just so unfortunate that it does not deserve a laugh. The 5th largest producer of oil and we do not have fuel. Hospitals are a mess, education is going to sh*t and economy has being long dead and we think this is funny?!

    ReplyDelete
  25. SMH!

I wonder if the driver is even trained to do CPR.

Its like we get a bus, throw on sign and lights and call it ambulance!
Do we have anything in there that can stabilize a patient?
Any Ventilation-airway equipment like Oxygen and pulse oximeter? Any defibrillators (for ppl with heart condition)? Any neck collars or traction devices? This is even for basic ambulance, not even proper EMT ambulance.
Is there a system, where the ambulance can even go to the nearest hospital, that is equipped and ready to handle the emergency?

When govt is giving away contracts, these are the types of things that should be considered. Even if it means starting off with about 20 of such ambulances in abuja, before expanding gradually. It would also mean equipping the emergency dept in several govt hospitals. It would cost money but not compared to the lives saved.

Have a proposal but Naija wahala too much. See this one, common fuel oooooo!! Chai!!!!!!
Let me just go to bed.
    God bless you all

  40. U see more reason I always say the Nigeria government don't really care about the people... They don't buy fuel so they don't know what this there Federal/Marketer stuff is causing us.
