The NEMA Camps Coordinator in Yola, Sa’ad Bello, confirmed that the women and children have been evacuated from the camp but said he could not say where the military took them to. Mr. Bello said the evacuation of the IDPs was purely a military affair which he could not comment on.
Efforts to get the military’s reaction on the development did not yield results.
