Did
you know that throughout the month of May, Nigeria’s leading ICT company, MTN
Nigeria, will be providing free downloads at zero naira for all apps downloaded?
Are you a blogger, SME owner or an association – Did you also know that you can
convert your website into an app free of charge?
#MTN
APPtitude
which runs from May 1 - 30, 2015, offers Nigerians the chance to download their
favourite apps for free.
So if you are
very social, there’s Facebook, Whatsapp,
Twitter to help you stay in touch. Your religious needs are catered for
with apps like Bible, Qiblah, Open Heavens
Devotional. Shopping tinz, there’s Jumia,
OLX, Kaymu and EasyTaxi to help
you move around. Not forgetting movies, music and entertainment with apps like Afrinolly, Music +, movies to keep you
pumped up.
There’s
no dull moment in the APPtitude movement as the internet
just got easier, smarter and faster for you to navigate using mobile apps.
As
part of the benefits of the movement, an APPtitude portal has been created on
the MTN Nextappstore, which curates a host of local apps in the market under
different categories that include sports, entertainment, lifestyle,
health/fitness, business as well as religion. The apps can be accessed by
everyone free of charge for 30 days.
In
addition, MTN promises to support app developers, associations and SMEs in converting
their websites to mobile applications while bearing the cost of maintaining and
hosting the apps. Interested organizations, Old school associations,
communities etc can send their request by email to apptitude@mtnnigeria.net.
Also
local app developers are encouraged to submit their apps on the APPtitude
portal even as MTN is committed to promoting these apps by providing them with
visibility and reach to its 61 million subscribers. App developers who want to
upload their apps on the portal should visit, http://cp.nexva.com/r/mtn and
follow the steps.
Remember
in whatever circumstance you find yourself, there’s always an app to make you
happy. Text APP to 131.

ReplyDeleteThere is a satellite radio station coming to Nigeria, just like dstv but strictly for radio allowing you connect different radio channels to your car and stereo player. Stations like beats fm, cool fm, wazobia fm, gist fm, bet fn [for footballl prediction and bet lover], food fm, tooxclusive fm, blaze fm, sports fm, gospel fm, literary fm, entertainment fm and so on. What do you think of it. Subscription goes for as cheap as 700 naira per month and the device cost 3500. The device also allows you to connect memory card if you decide you want to play music from your memory card and a USB port to charge your phone. Please the company is trying to conduct questionnaires before fully entering market. Opinions needed. Thank you.
Sincerely,
James Morgan

ReplyDeleteThe worst network provider ever. Loaded a data but can't use it, too sluggish, called their call center they forced me to listen to their nonsense adverts all day despite that I opted out. FYI The problem isn't from my phone.
