National leader of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described the victory of the Presidential candidate of the APC, General Muhammadu Buhari, as Nigeria's finest moment in its political history.
"It is a moment when hope is re-born, faith is rekindled and a fresh fire of patriotism is released for the task ahead. I congratulate General Buhari, Nigeria's President-elect, on his hard won victory. I salute our gallant party leaders and members for running the long distance to victory. To millions of Nigerians, I say this - the APC seeks not power for its sake, but for the purpose of bringing a better life to our people and re-building our country. "This is also democracy' s finest moment. Nigerians alive today have witnessed the beginning of an era of change . They made this happen and they are the true celebrants and they are deserving. I like Jonathan too, but the problem with him is his attitude towards Diezani,Oduah and the rest of them that are looting the money meant for everybody. He refused to caution them, if Buhari allows the likes of Tinubu and Amechi to mislead him into looting, then he will be impeached.Buhari should realise people voted his personality and not his party or party members.Whatever he does now is for posterity and his legacy forever.

    For 16 years, people like Ekweremadu and his cronies have seized Enugu state for themselves looting and sharing the collective resources and taking all the federal appointments accrued to the state. At some point, they even refused people from joining the PDP thereby making the party an exclusive club for selected few. He grabbed the Igwe of his place for his dad (now Late), made his brother LG chairman two times and when he finished, he forced him on the people as house of assembly member in Enugu state after forcing the then incumbent (Abel Chukwu) to resign. Very selfish man. Ekweremadu has played god in Enugu West for long. This is the main reason I like this wind of change so that people like Ekweremadu and his cronies can be blown out with time so that we can breathe in Enugu .He is going back to the senate after imposing himself again for the 4th time but let him be rest assured that he is going there now as a floor member (without the paraphernalia of office he has been using to intimidate people) and this will be the beginning of his political oblivion. Same with David Mark who has refused to leave the senate since 1999.

    You can share in the victory since you facilitated most of it, but 'working side by side' with Buhari might just not happen. I predict jail time for all corrupt 'election sponsors and partners' of Buhari. The president-elect is gunning full force for a corruption-free economy and Bola Tinubu just doesn't fit in. Just because you paved the way for change does not mean that you will escape the hangman's noose. I remember a chapter in 'half of a yellow sun' where an Igbo family was massacred by their very close northern friends/neighbours. Belief, truth and conviction comes first for some people, even before friendship or money. Follow Bode George and start packing:)
