Photo: Police Discover Bomb Factory In Enugu

During a closed-door meeting  in Abuja yesterday with senior police officers to strategize on security for the April 11 elections, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Suleiman Abba, revealed that the police have discovered the factory that manufactured Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) that caused explosion in Enugu State during the March 28 elections.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), IGP Abba said three suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.

He said, “The investigation into the incident has reached advanced stage; we have identified even the factory where those IEDs were manufactured. I think that alone is a big success.” Bomb explosion had occurred at the WTC School 1 polling unit in Enugu on the Election Day. The blast was said to have caused pandemonium as people, including INEC staff and voters ran for safety. Two other bombs also were said to have been detonated by the anti-bomb squad of the state Police command

    4. Anony 6:42 pm let me enlighten your ignorant ass. There are a lot of northern people in Enugu these days. Especially in UNEC. They even have shifts during the year and whenever they go on these "shifts" a major catastrophe happens up north. UNEC students have you ever asked yourselves why Law al owns a Military styled combat Camo? Adam is a highly enlightened and intelligent man what is he looking for in Enugu. The others seem less enlightened but these two. Then the bomb explosion at WTC occurred...I don't know man.. Majority of the Igbo people don't kill this way, the fear of being thrown into the evil forest or bringing shame upon your family is the beginning of wisdom. And nobody wants a war, the big franchise wounds are still fresh. Settlers are behind this, along with some wicked and greedy Igbos who have sold their conscience.

  12. Enugu kwa? Odi kwa egwu o. That bomb that went off during the presidential polls was in Enugu wasn't intended to kill anyone, I think. It was just to disrupt the whole voting process. But this bomb manufacturing factory is surprising.

  24. First and foremost, there was no explosion in Enugu on that day of election. Not at WTC, not anywhere in Enugu state. I don't know what the police are up to with this kind of false information.
