The App for Daily Living

App usage is increasingly on a high in Nigeria and it has been proclaimed that 2015 is the year of the application boom. More and more people are depending on applications from the time they wake up to when they leave the house and on the way to their places of work and manoeuvring through traffic to get to meetings and keep appointments.

Tapping into the trend early in the year, Telecommunications giant, MTN developed and launched a mobile app called My2015app

This app which is intended to support the brand’s 2015 ‘Be Better’ campaign slogan has gathered a lot of momentum especially with the backing of all the brand’s ambassadors and the brand’s very large social media community.
With a slogan of Better Me to support, the app has certainly being built to withstand critics and any challenges the public might throw in its face. It houses a variety of information which range from News, Healthy, Food, Sports etc. For those who would love to explore the ocean of entrepreneurship, there is also the opportunities tab which provides a variety of opportunities in different sectors. This is also a tab that investors will find useful as it also provides information on which areas are best to invest in.
Not only does the app keep users constantly updated, the app enables users to instantly purchase various MTN products and services eg.data, airtime and some VAS products like caller tunez. In other words, you are always connected to friends, loved ones and the information you need to move further in life.
The brand has also gone further to create 3 unique plans called the “Better Me Bundles”
-          Daily Package Offer which consists of 20 National mins + 15MB + 35 National SMS @ N250 only (*123*4*1*1# )
-          Monthly Package Offer which consists of 100 National mins + 100 National SMS + 300MB@ N2,015only (*123*4*2*1#)
-          Monthly Data Bundle Offer which consists of 2015MB@ N2,015 only (*123*4*3*1#)
We can truly say that MTN is committed to making this the year of a ‘Better Me’ for all it’s customers.
