At least six people lost their lives today after dare-devil robbers dressed in military uniform robbed a bank on Admiralty Way in Lekki Phase 1. See some photos after the cut...
The policemen were unfortunately around when the robbers attacked this afternoon. Their van was sprayed with bullets
They left the house without planning for this. What a world. Rip! Lindaobserve

This is sad and I the future of our country as a nation is so bleak. Not been funny here, I expect AIG Mbu to hold true to his words to “kill 20 of every 1 policeman killed in the SW" so Oga Mbu mobilize and go after this armed gang that has murdered sleep in Lekki, Lagos

ReplyDeleteI couldn't help but shed tears at the picture of the young girl. For all you know, she might be her family's breadwinner. This just spoiled my day and I can't stop thinking about her people. May her soul rest in peace.
ReplyDelete#smh - these days we don't Hear about armed robberies not because they don't happen but because no investigations Carried out and we have accepted to live with it under pdp controlled police.
DeleteMbu is claiming he will kill; other police departments have record of foiled robberies and caught robbers. He has record of fighting with opposition governors when deployed.
#smh - We all voted him as fresh air and he gave us the most polluted air ever. Why isn't he running as a more fresh air???
#Buhari is the closest to handing over to fresh air. At least he will sanitise the system and hand over in a few years. With PDP even if if they bring a nursery school child they will pollute him to give us foul air.
SAI BUHARI
See w hat GEJ has caused?
ReplyDeleteChaiiiiii must they kill before they get what they want imagine souls we lost today in the name of money that bible warns us that it is the root of all evil still we as a human chose to get it in hard way. May the souls that we lost today rest in perfect peace Amen.
ReplyDeleteSad! What makes this worse is that the animals that did this barbaric act got away with speed boats, this Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge is less than a kilometer from the Marine Police Section of the Nigerian Police! The said Marine Police only lie-in-wait for lawyers bringing Court Order to arrest vessels involved in commercial disputes, the crave only paperwork. Again, what about the helicopters the Lagos State Government claim it got for the Police? How can those beasts escape? Chief Bourdillon resident resident should be concerned because this happened a few blocks away from his lair.
ReplyDeleteMass murder. The last we saw such violence was when buhari called out his supporters to a killing spree after he lost the election in 2011.
ReplyDeleteMay ur soul rest in peace

ReplyDeleteWow! Dis is sad! Btw pls help us beg those in charge, we dont have light in ogba, its frustrating, we've not had light in weeks, yet dey keep bringing exorbitant bills. Its not fair! Dis suffering is too much! Phcn, federal Government. Pls do something. Its inhumane
ReplyDeleteMy person, it's crazy. In my estate, we only have light for 10 minutes each day. What have we done to deserve this wickedness. All my kids are sick from rampaging mosquitoes. It's sheer irresponsibility on the Govt. I may not vote APC in this election if this continues. My estate was built by Gov Fashola. We may note vote in APC. If they do not do something about this light issue urgently, or deploy the long awaited Generator to Lagos Homs Estate, they should forget about winning this election.
DeleteOga Ade - I believe and take it that you are educated and learned. Why you are allowing emotions take over objectivity bothers me..
DeleteDoes Lagos control, own or manage IKEDC/EKEDC? Are they in charge of distribution, transmission and generation?
If you don't want to vote APC that is fine, however find something else to hang your decision and discontent

ReplyDeleteO God please what I ask for bday present if for your judgement start upon those thieves and there should be disagreement within them that they begin to kill themselves IJN. From now on they know no peace anymore. Father curse them to be mad that they will not be healed
ReplyDeleteThis breaks my heart into a million pieces. Nigeria is foked almost beyond repair. Do you know our politicians are not really the problem. The people in nigeria are a mess. They love money..easy quick by any means necessary type of wealth.. Look at us in other countries, we must steal or commit fraud, look at nigeria itself. Bribe, stealing, kidnapping, cheating. Superficial, cutting corners. Nothing is ever done the right way. This is so soooo sad.
ReplyDeleteI didnt think anything could affect me emotionally and mentally past bokoharam bombing of innocent lives but this has destroyed me mentally. Why for goodness sake. Why would they do this? I dont even know the curse that befits them
ReplyDeleteLinda your readers have their priorities all messed up. Genevieves dress to award show got almost 500 comments, free money you dash out generates thousands of comments but something as serious as this that can affect any one of us going about our daily business and they are all quiet. Too bad. Why has naija become so evil, so reckless, so insensitive, so intolerant. This money they have wasted lives to acquire will it grant them peace or immunity from dying. May they and all their family members face the worst kind of fate. May they start burying their loved ones daily, weekly monthly, one person at a time both young and old. Why would they do this?
ReplyDeletelegalize guns ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....need one for defense oooooo
ReplyDeleteI do not believe in the way police business is carried out in this country. we ought to have plenty of mufti policemen/ policewomen with handcuffs, mini/spy communication gadgets, discrete Badges for proper identification and a loaded revolver. Policing the civilians should be 70% information sourcing and 30% tactical. not men/women in uniform with little or no equipment for backups. we do not have the 21st century police in our nation. am sorry for this nation. Police are good in disturbing/extorting danfo drivers, motorist, okada riders and Presbyterians. Shame to Nigerian police, shame to Lagos state government and shame to our past leaders who have embezzled our funds. GEJ, you have to take a little out of the blame too. May the souls of those who died in this incident rest in peace, AMEN.

ReplyDeleteMy husband was there during the attack he is a Nigerian citizen. I am 3 months pregnant and an Australian citizen the people of Nigeria welcomed me with open arms. I am deeply sorry for the suffering in your country and pray for my husband and your nation every single day. I pray the victims rest in peace and that the love of God comforts the families and friends of those who lost their lives. God bless Nigeria
ReplyDeleteNo peace for the wicked , In Jesus name; may the judgement of God overtake them, may he enquire and make a louder case for the dead like he did Abel, May the warrior Angels of the God I serve overtake attack and totally destroy them, May they never see a day of light or happiness, I don't know these ppl but I stand in the gap to decree and declare they are totally finished! In misery and Pain the evil ones shall be brought to nothing in the Mighty most effective most powerful name of Jesus! Wait for it U will soon hear of their doom!
ReplyDeleteFew months ago some soldiers were dismissed from the army and now they have entered the street to receive their gratuity in return this present government is not doing anything reasonable to improve security matters and now we have lost some of our loved ones who did not know anything just imagine the fish seller the robbers killed and tomorrow they will be shouting transformation I pray God to rescue the poor from the hands of this end time rich politicians who are using blood of the innocent ones to do politics and by the Grace of God as an omo alase oro those behind this robbery will be brought to book or they die by the gun with those who will eat from that money
ReplyDeleteRIP. it's high time all states in Nigeria acquire at-least one aircraft for their police command.
ReplyDeleteIf the police had helicopter they would have trailed these robbers till the end.
What is this,God DAT little girl on ground kia so painful
ReplyDeleteit is very sad when you read stories like this one. I have said it without number that the level of policing in this country is not enough. The ratio of policemen to the citizens should be 1:3. we are not anywhere near it. the policemen are not well motivated. they are not well paid. they live in barracks like pigs. their future is not guaranteed. when a policeman dies, his family gets paltry sum of 500,000. the policemen who should have been guarding the communities are just guarding politicians. if you enter any senior politician's wife, you will think you are in a police station with the number of mopol guarding him and his wives and even concubines. community policing has just been a mere lip service. this crime could have been planned in ikorodu -a rural suburb. what community policing would have resolved. I also said that for us to police this nation, we need to move away from reactive mode and go into preventing policing. intelligence gathering is very important. back in the day, we had what was called CID- Criminal Investigation Department. they move around and mingle with the people are bars, markets, etc just to get information. this is no more. policemen just sit in their barracks and stations waiting for cases. another important thing is marine policing. a city like lagos should have marine patrols. how can soldiers travel in speed boat without being challenged? are they amphibious brigade? it is suspicious and because no one asks questions or cares. This nation has degenerated to state of lawless and anarchy. this is why we need a change even if it is a 70 year old dog on that seat, we don't mind.
