Photos from the mass protest that took place in Akwa-Ibom today

The APC in Akwa Ibom State took to the streets today to protest what they claim is massive rigging in the state. The protest was led by the APC guber candidate in the State, Umana Okon Umana. They demanded the cancellation of the election and removal of the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Austin Okojie. The protesters barricaded the state headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission. More photos after the cut...

  32. Jonathan is playing with fire. I don't mean that in a disrespectful way, I just mean that he's letting the desperation of his corrupt aides and associates drag his name in the mud. Elections are not do or die, when Jonathan loses, let him take it in peace. The problem is that his silly, greedy and corrupt aides Abati, Femi Fani-Kayode, Doyin Okupe etc want to die on top looting Nigeria's wealth.

Today, 30th March 2015 marks the dawn of a new day in Nigeria by God's MIGHTY GRACE. AMEN.

PDP will be done with forever from this day forward in Jesus Name. Amen. We the people have played our parts and voted....Now, we have everything else in the hands of God.

    Welcome president Buhari/Osinbajon in advance.

    God Bless Nigeria.

  85. APC and violence. Why all the protests. In those states that APC won, l have not heard of PDP protesting. Does it mean that if GEJ wins, the whole country will be disturbed by Aggrieved People Congress.

    ReplyDelete
  86. When you check the dictionary for APC the only realistic explanation is protest, hooliganism and all forms of violence. I wonder if they rig their votes spiritually.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Oh dear! Hope d final results stand

    ReplyDelete
  88. HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE PROTESTING ANYWAYS...ARE THEY UP TO 1000...THIS IS THE REASON I HATE APC..THEY ARE SO VIOLENCE...ALREADY PREPARING STRATEGIES IN DIFFERENT STATES THEY LOST SHOULD INCASE THEY TOTALLY LOOSE THE ELECTION..EVEN A BLIND MAN KNOWS APC WOULD NEVER IN THE SOUTH EAST AND SOUTH SOUTH...

    2. They ain't protesting in all the states they lost! But in rivers, edo and a/Ibom elections didn't hold. I'm not partisan, I'm just an observer. The best thing INEC can do to is cancel the election. If PDP is to win they will win if APC likes they should make noise tire. But let them actually do a proper election there.
