EFCC clears the air on fake document ordering probe of APC leaders

EFCC has released a statement saying that the letter which surfaced online today suggesting that President Jonathan had ordered the agency to probe the financial operations of APC leaders, is fake. Statement from the agency below and a picture showing the difference between a real document from the agency and the fake one above..
"The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, wishes to alert the public about a letter supposedly from the office of the Chief of Staff to President Goodluck Jonathan, mandating the Commission to initiate discreet investigation against some prominent political figures in the country.
The commission urges the public to discountenance the said letter as it is forged document, intended to mislead the people.

The features of the letter are markedly different from that on a genuine letter from the office of the Chief of Staff to the president.

As evidence that this is a clear forgery, we reproduce below the fake letter alongside a copy of an authentic letter from the same office.

      You water mark a letter to someone with that person's name (etc) to ensure that if there is a leak, you know where it is coming from. It is proper that the presidency would mark a letter going to the EFCC with their name.

      If you don't no ask an somebody might just tell you. If the Chief of staff order a probe through EFCC, it will be re scanned with their own logo, to show the Authenticity of the probe. Just the initial it has no EFCC watermark any body can type that

    EFFC your evidence lacks merits please. Going the story it was alleged that the President wrote to EFFC, Not EFFC wrote to the President in that case the President that wrote to you, won't use EFFC watermarked paper, so I should expecting a letter that had the Seal of the President or something.     This people assume we're fools or what? When did the presidents office began using EFCC's letter headed paper. What they presented as original copy is the letter head of EFCC while the other letter in question is supposed to be a letter from office of the president. What they have just done is like comparing original apple to 'fake' orange. They've goofed again in comparing 'apple' to 'orange'

      The EFCC Logo U see in the background of the original letter is called watermark placed by the EFCC to prevent the creators of the fake one from stealing this original letter 4 negative use. Those EFCC logos was placed by the EFCC in other to secure the original document. Understand?

    Errors like this just make you understand why our country is not developing. Is it someone that is not competent enough to defend an accusation by putting up a valid letter head that will run a country of 170million people. The same way they came up with invalid IP addresses when they said APC hacked AIT's website to rig polls. I have never seen this level of incompetence before. This Government is a total failure.

    13. He broke up press conference of ASSU in 1984 and detained four of their executives

    14 He jailed Beko Ransome Kuti who only demanded for the release of his brother.

    15 He jailed Dr. Sam Onunaka Mbakwe.

    16 He jailed Awwal Ibrahim now the Emir of Niger State before IBB pushed him aside.

    They have not successfully cleared the air. What they have presented as the original is EFCC letter head and not a letter head from the Chief of Staff to the president office. Until they produce a letter head from the latter's office I see them as rather confused.
