Women who do rare things...

You were recently introduced to a young female animator and a publisher. Kaka Marycollete from Cross River state is a publisher of young readers magazine. Her passion for children made her take a short course on animation. She has a formidable team and they are currently working on a 1 hour movie centered on a tourist site Afi Mountain where birds migrate to Europe and how Mary Slessor stopped the killing of twin.

Kaka and her team had been involved in a lot of animation projects for corporate bodies. The animation movie which is to be produced in 3D is to be premiered before the end of the year.

View a sample thriller below without a voice over. Will bring the synopsis to you soon.

  6. Hi,

Excellent blog. Love to see women succeed all around the world. As a scandinavian woman myself; we usually tend to think women in Nigeria perhaps aren't allowed the same freedom we are. However, seeing your blog.. I had to re-think :)

    Good Work!

  14. Even at our proudest moment we still act like slaves. No white kid will use his art form to praise any historical African contribution to his culture.
So many stories that edify Africans but she chose our dark moments to teach kids.

    1. If she starts making millions of naira and her work is recognised internationally, make sure you will not be one of those to say Congratulations! because you will kill the exchange rate finally... keep this at the back of your mind. Whenever U are genuinely thrilled by someone else's success, that means U are right on track of your own success.

  21. This is what young minds especially girls and teachers are suppose to be doing. Being creative and working constantly with your hands. In a few years from now , certificate might not really matter, it will all boil down to (what can you do, how productive are you)
