Jonathan distributed dollars to groups while in Lagos last week - Gov Fashola

Reacting to a statement credited to President Jonathan that the PDP will set Lagos residents free from bondage if elected into government, Governor Fashola alleged that during his visit to Lagos lastweek, pres. Jonathan doled out dollars to all the groups he met with at the State House in Marina. Fashola made the allegation while inspecting some ongoing projects in Ibeju-Lekki yesterday Feb. 22nd
"I want to assume that he did not make a statement that he would deliver Lagos residents from bondage. The question to ask Mr. President is whether he'd come to free them from bondage. He was here for 5 days meeting with different people and groups, distributing money in dollars. It is an un-presidential statement made in an act of desperation. That means he lived in bondage in five days if he had come into the state to free people. If he can live here for five days moving with patrol vehicles that we paid for, let him go and spend five days in Chibok and he will know what bondage is,” the governor said

    So,we that are furniture transporters and have to pay 200 naira toll fees everytime we pass that damned toll gate nko.

    Plus the court told you people to stop collecting toll pending the case is concluded but your attorney General openly said you(SAN) and your govt will not obey...

    My cousin had to wait one year to apply to another school when he was told he had to pay 280,000 school fees for a state school(law) despite the fact that he passed very well. And I am a Lagosian.

    Fashola, what have you done for us? We can't even operate without one tax force demanding money here or not. What you're running is a tyranny and painful part is, you are not even democratic, despite some good ideas you may have. You don't listen to no one.

    I live in an area where I have never heard of govt pipe borne water. We on our streets contribute to construct gutters. We pay OPC for our security. Many people are suffering here. You have brought pain to the lives of many people. Tears to many eyes and taken food from the mouth of many families. With your bans without alternative and your high handed policies.

    Please define bondage again.
    Come April, I can never vote for your party.
    Even though my vote may not count.
    But just to satisfy my conscience.

    Those who praise Fashola and say he's perfect either don't live in Lagos or are too rich to notice.

      You guys shld travel out and see how people pay for basic amenities. Yhe govt built roads. Citizens have to pay. Outside d country u pay tax on every dame thing u buy even to pant and bra. Even groceries. You will pay tax. But in nigeria iys different. If u want basic amenities, it has to be paid for somehow.     Aregbesola came to Lagos and was throwing money from d top of a bus during the APC presidential campaign rally while he's owing workers in his state over 4 months salary. Corpers serving in Osun state have not received a dime, thanks to FG's 19800 if not, corpers for chop sand for d state! Come to Osun and see the terrible roads, go to d state hospitals, no basic hospital equipment. He's using corpers as his doctors, pharmacists n nurses (cheap labor), yet no pay.     Gov.     Why are we so gullible as a people. While I won't describe myself as a political person, I still must so my level best to separate facts from fiction. If you ask me i thing our amiable governor should have presented to us tangible proof of money being distributed that way we'll see the president for who he really is; but to just come on air and say Gej was distributing dollars sounds more like a politician talking.

    The other day some politicians said Buhari was in a London hospital sick with no proof. Today fashola says Gej is distributing dollars. Let us take a que from the Americans two years back when Romney made a misguided statement, it didn't take long for the American electorate to discover who was lying. On our own case, we accept what is spoken by anybody hook line and sinker. Nigerians please be wise and always read between the lines whenever a politician is talking.
