Tambuwal dumps presidential aspiration, settles for Sokoto governorship

There are reports that the Speaker of the House of Reps, Aminu Tambuwal, has dumped his presidential aspiration and might be settling for the Sokoto state governorship ticket under the APC.

According to media reports, some chieftains of the APC loyal to General Buhari who is also gunning for the presidential ticket under APC, prevailed on Tambuwal to step down for the former head of state. The Speaker has yet to respond to this new report.

  24. Point of correction, he never showed interest in the Presidential race nor purchased the nomination form. The APC Caucus in the House of Reps purchased the form on his behalf and encouraged him to contest.
