Policemen attached to Oando Filling Station were seen around noon today beating a customer at Oando filling station Ikate, Lekki Road. Passersby, one of them a LIB reader, didn't know what he did to warrant the assault but took photos and sent it in. See more photos after the cut...

Is it not that filling station with tastee fried chicken, horrible place to buy fuel. The fuel attendants are so rude, I don't know why people still go there.
DeleteIt's that filling station! My cousin and I stopped to buy food..we saw the events unfold..as I started taking pics..the guy (Gbenga) who dispenses diesel started to insult me! I couldn't believe it! Even said he'll beat my cousin up! It's just crazy!

ReplyDeleteWelcome to banana republic, a country where nothing is functional except of course uncountable churches with fake pastors abound. On no account should a police who is meant to maintain law, order and protect the tax payer lay a finger on a person, but then the country is a banana contraption. Sickening!
ReplyDeletemaybe the poor man did not do anything, even if he did something wrong, that does not warrant to beating,we have right as citizens.

couldn't have been a thief dressed like that and would not be alone.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm lindaway nawaooooo. CHI.
ReplyDeleteThis state of lawlessness as seen from men in uniform, women alike in fact has to stop! I mean! No matter what d man has done, everyone is innocent till proven guilty. These people should be preserving and not indiscriminately breaking d law. Its getting out of hands! The amount of unruly nature we witness daily from these people. I pray Fashola uses just one as a scape goat. Would probably serve as a lesson.
ReplyDeleteMad people in uniform. Police is not my friend at all.

ReplyDeleteThis is unfair. I've been to this Oando at Lekki and the police slapped and threatened to shoot a man for urinate beside Ruby Garden (the event hall near this Oando filling station)..shouting "who you be?? we go shoot you and nothing go happen" now they beat up a customer..it is so sad!

ReplyDeletePillar Egona is a 7-Year-Old girl, She was recently diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer), a kind of cancer at knee cap region. The cancer has become so extensive that it might affect other parts of the body if surgery is not done as soon as possible.
ReplyDeleteLeg amputation is all Nigeria hospitals could offer with less chances of survival as they don't have life support machine for kids. Treatment abroad through chemotherapy and possibly limb salvage can be done for her to make her walk with her feet again where state of the art health facilities are.
Na because he no park well...I was dae dis afternoon
ReplyDeleteJust that he didn't park well? It is very unfortunate, but I think our policemen need to be put on check cos all these their maltreatment of innocent citizens are getting out-of-hand. Poor guy!!
DeleteNawa for all this Nigerian police ooo.
ReplyDeleteIt's true Naija Police are bad. But in dis px posted by Linda there is no bruitilize but dragging d innocent man and not details of wat happen so don't let us start condemning Naija police. Well, let's s be objectives in our summission/opinion on such undetail story.

ReplyDeleteNa wa for Nigeria police. And they wonder why people don't value and respect them. I'm not surprise, majority of them are criminals and don't know why they joined the police force in the first place. *The police is your friend*- my foot. *To protect lives and properties* my ass. The changes taking place in nigeria for better should start with the police force
ReplyDeleteI have witnessed the beating of a female Nigerian citizen by this same police men at that same filling station the Government should do something about it........this is absolute rubbish
ReplyDeletethis one sis linda nor put italicize lindaikejiblog....
ReplyDeleteStupid nigerian police!
ReplyDeleteSad! Zines143@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteFuck the Nigerian police, they so ineffective.
ReplyDeletePeople instead of complaining let's stop buying fuel at that filling station..... Simple.... That's what we do in Yankee to teach them a lesson.
ReplyDeleteMy prayer for them is that they will all get promotion to work in violent areas of Adamawa and Borno and, they will all fall a prey to Boko Haram members! Were it not for their arms, would they have tried the stupid thing on a day light like that?
ReplyDelete*-Ur-me Oshy-*
