D'banj becomes Apple/Beats By Dre African ambassador, gets his own earphones

Apple/Beats By Dre just made the announcement! D'banj has signed a contract with Apple to be the African ambassador for the brand...and not just that, he'll get his own customized earphones, which will be launched in December. Congrats to D'banj. See more photos after the cut...

    don jazz biggest mistake was breaking up with dis guy, it is not about being d best producer but knowing d business well,which dbanj does more than any artist in africa. kudos to dbanj for following his dream despite d criticism.

    Hi Linda Ikeji,

    I am a business man and also into the business of Agriculture (Poultry) which we have just invested hugely into in the past 2 years. I know that you are very influential in that your blog reaches out a great deal and I have made time to go through whenever I have the time to.

    Having gone through Dbanj story and knowing he is an Agric Ambassador too (not Sure), could you help us talk to him or the Agric minister to urgently address the plight of the poultry farmers as it is today? An important poultry feed content SOYA BEAN CAKE has been blocked from entering this country. I don’t know by who; maybe customs or Agric ministry. This will put a lot of us poultry famers out of business and will double prices of poultry products if available. I really find it hard to understand government policies and how they implement them but I cannot mention how much we have invested in the past 2 years in poultry and we are directly employing 91 people today. They seem to say one thing and do another. I would have been better off if we invested or continued our import business and employ only 5 people. This whole thing is making no sense with encouraging people to go to Agric. It is not a cheap business o and I wonder how many people can invest close to a billion in a venture and not see progress.
    I am just one silent voice and I just hope you can help to reach out there. Thank you.

    I have been saying this, don't hate successful people rather let them motivate you to be successful. The reason is because if u r not careful u might get yourself killed at some point cos they have d right key to success and with dat key they always succeed even in the midst of the most difficult situations. This guy has the winning formula for success and if u mark his life since 10 yrs he came on the scene he's been moving from one level of success to another and trust me even in the next 20 yrs he will b going strong.     A good man is like a pumped balloon, u can't keep him down. Dbanj with all the hates and propaganda he has been receiving latetly still got big deals like this shows that he is outstanding and i av said it here and i will say it again, 'this guy will always go up no matter who is against him'.
    With all the hates trown at dbanj for parting ways with donjazzy and yet making this type of deals is out of this world.
    And if you dont know, Dbanj has just signed a deal with the richest producer on earth

    Are you all blind. Dbanj is presented a customised earphone by Beat or Dre for his 10th year in the industry and the whole press is agog that he's now an AMBASSADOR for beat. Where and when was this signed. Read the tweet folks... Or as a reporter contact beat in the US... And stop fooling yourselves. The tweet did NOT say he's an AMBASSADOR but welcomed him into the fam for owning one.
