Nuhu Ribadu defends his defection from APC to PDP

Former EFCC boss Nuhu Ribadu has defended his defection from APC to PDP, which he announced over the weekend. Speaking through his spokesperson Abdulaziz Abdulaziz to Punch, Ribadu said;
"In Nigeria, especially in politics, you can’t say that this is an exclusive party for the people who are thieves or this is for good people. It’s just like saying that all Yorubas are this or all Igbos are this. In every group of people, there must be good people and there are bad people. Of course, the good may be more than the bad or the bad may be more than the good in any group. But there is no any party that is exclusively for the good people or for the bad people.”. Continue...

He said that his defection was not borne out of his desperation to realize his political ambition but was based on his patriotic zeal to serve the country and its people.
“It is not true that he (Ribadu) was desperate to realize his political ambition. This is because this decision was taken in the overriding interest of serving the people. What matters for him is service. That is why even when he was a member of the opposition party, when government asked him to serve the country, he accepted the offer and he did a wonderful job that everybody hailed except those who don’t want change in the system. If you are ready to serve the people, sometimes you will have to do something that is not even palatable to yourself.” he said
Meanwhile see what Nuhu Ribadu said about his rumored defection from APC in April...

  12. Linda, is anything wrong with your blog? Since yesterday, I have been trying to go to your blog with my laptop to no avail. Your blog appears too tiny on my laptop to the extent of being unreadable. I have been forced to use just my note 3 to visit your blog. Please, look into that to make sure your blog appears normal on laptops and desktops.

    Meanwhile, this is not a comment, please.

  23. I totally agree with nuhu, its about you getting to that seat, then you can now start doin what is right for the benefit of all and not the party though you will step on toes and not even stay long before ure kicked out like fashola was to be kicked out, but the catch there is when you are doind whats good for all, theres the advantage that u might excite the crowd like THE COLISEUM and they will send fears to your party that you are not easily dispensable. What ever gimicks, tricks or strategies u employ to get the power does not matter, the end justifies the means

  28. It's pure politics. This is why I hate politics...I have had a little involvement with this people and I can tell you there is no good politician...their can't be a totally good politician in a country as corrupt as ours. If there was, you won't even hear of him, cos he wont get as far as being hearing his name.

    Most of the people we are dealing with are all going in for their own selfish interests, including this man.

  47. My nigga is just desperate for power by all means. It shows the kind of president he would have been if he had won the previous election. No loyalty, morals or values

    These Nigerian politicians. Their god is the love for money and power and how to always be in power so that they and their children can continue to enjoy the goodness of Nigeria. They don't give a crap about the people.

    He saw an Avenue to become the governor of adamawa in PDP and jumped at it without thinking. He doesn't care about any other person apart from himself
