New Video: Dr. David Olusegun Agbaje: I am a Nigerian
I am a Nigerian" is another poem written by Dr. David Olusegun Agbaje, a Nigerian
Customs Officer, Poet and Literary Critic with Ph.D. in English. The
poem is turned into music by Paramount Music, Nashvile, TN and produced
by StarTune Records, USA. Enjoy and share your thoughts...
This is a masterpiece, and it's the kind of inspiration we need at this time of crisis in our nation. Also coming from a senior customs officer, I think it is admirable.
Wow! This is creativity par excellence. Beautiful, inspiring and patriotic. Good message. Nigeria will surely be better with all hands on deck for mutual understanding, tolerance and progress.
This is such a timely message!!!! I've been shouting it for years! Our unity is more important than the things that differentiate us. God bless these people
What a brilliant work of art! The imagery of the bunch of brooms is very instructive. It depicts that our strength lies in our unity. A bunch brooms cannot be broken into pieces but when separated from the bunch each single broom becomes vulnerable and breakable. What a message! Our greatness is in our ability to be tolerant and unite to establish justice and integrity. Thank you Doc for this excellent work. I too am proud to be a Nigerian. We shall soon get it right in our country with people like you around. Kudos!

Brilliant! A patriotic but canny art which combines poetry and song in a redemptive message to Nigerians. A poet with the vision of Ibycus, TIresias or Orpheus in Greek mythology, David Olusegun Agbaje foresaw the turbulent times Nigeria is presently experiencing several years ago when he was a Youth Corp member in some remote part of Easter Nigeria. He preserved that vision in a beautiful poem, "I am a Nigerian" which he ultimately turned into an audio music and then video for the benefit of his countrymen. He has spoken as befits a poet with this music, but whether Nigerians will listen to his message and be spared the gloom ahead, or not listen and be doomed as a matter of time is a different thing altogether.
