Singer Esther from defunct group Resonance releases promo photos

Remember Esther, one part of the now defunct duo, Resonance? She was the sonorous voice that belted out the chorus in the Chinweike track that reverberated all over Nigerian airwaves.

The gospel album Chinweike which featured several hits including LeeLee and Holy Ghost fire sold over a million copies in Nigeria.

After a much deserved sabbatical, the Nigeria/German alternative pop singer is back, better and ready to take her place in the Nigerian music scene as Esther with a soon to be released first single titled "Ije Love" from her forthcoming album. Continue...

Estar started singing at the age of 3. At age of eleven, she learnt how to play the guitar, composing her own songs as she went. At fourteen, she represented Nigeria in New York as a singer at the United Nations Children's Congress and at 17 she was a member of the Igbo choir in her community.

Estar has a first class honours degree in psychology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Apart from music, she loves the great outdoors. A philanthropist in her own right, she has her hands in a few charities; working with handicapped children.

She currently lives with her husband and son.

    3. Its so lame and really sad how people are quick to judge, insult and curse here. Has it occurred to you that the person who commented may be a person who is faced with striking cases of unemployment? and as such considers it 'funny' that a brilliant lady with sure employment and salary would choose to foray into an uncertain area such as the music industry. Na wa o!

  57. No matter how good and decent you are there must be people here who will abuse you so no one should take anything said here personal. Besides, you who said she is old are you the same age you were when Resonance was released. You only pointed that out because there is no bad thing to say about her. Ndi amebo tufiakwa. Pretty gal with a pretty character. Some ga na anwus forever.
