Prosper Ayuk, 19, emerges as Cross River Most Beautiful Girl 2014

19 year old Prosper Ayuk representing Obubra LGA beat 17 other beauty queen hopefuls to win the Cross River Most Beautiful Girl 2014 title during the pageant's grand finale and award night which held on May 24th in the state's capital city, Calabar.

The maiden edition with the theme " Essence Of The Woman"  was indeed a massive turnout with headline celebrities, notable beauty queens, top government officials, ,super models and Calabar residents. Several security details were deployed across the venue to provide security for the pageant with regards to the state of the nation. Before the leggy beauty ambassadors took to the stage for the grand finals, the audience were treated to a unity dance by the contestants. In the days leading up to the final, the contestants had courtesy visits and also took part in a series of "challenge" events in camp for which they were awarded points.

The very colourful event ended with the presentation of the brand new car to the queen at the event venue. She is also to get N500,000, a fully furnished apartment, represent Cross River In MBGN and other entitlements. The 1st and 2nd runner up have also been given their cash prizes of N100,000 and N50,000 respectively.

Cross River Most Beautiful Girl pageant is packaged by Belle'sabel Grooming agency, owned by former Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria Isabella Ayuk In collaboration with Silverbird productions.

Earlier, reports had it that she crowned her sister but Isabella has long debunked the rumour as she only shares  the same surname with the winner whom she first met at the audition exercise. According to her" the stories making rounds that I crowned my sister is not true, we are not related, just same surname. Its just like sharing same surname with another person." The former MBGN Queen further buttressed that  the Cross River Most Beautiful Girl father bears Achu Ayuk and that they are both from different villages. Prosper Ayuk is from is from Bendeghe Village while while Isabella Ayuk is from Effraya Village though from same local government.
